Believe it or not Victor for Kazmir is a rip off...for the Rays.

Kazmir has lost his power, lost his ability to locate, and lost his ability to be an effective pitcher. We could do a lot better for Victor than Kazmir.

Kazmir's control has always been spotty- is he showing a drop in velocity? If his stuff is kind of flat, it could just be mechanics, but if he has seen a big drop in speed then maybe he finally did in the elbow.

Do you realize how we got Grady Sizemore and Cliff Lee? By trading an ace in Bartolo Colon away. It is a proven fact now that Mark Shappiro is one of the better GMs when it comes to getting prospects and watching them become good players. Shin Soo Choo and Asdrubal Cabrera, both traded for, from Seattle. Cliff Lee and Sizemore, both in a trade, and we also got Brandon Phillips in that deal.. We got a catcher for Casey Blake who is rated as the best catcher in all of the Minors, and at the lowest 2nd behind Buster Posey. Traded Enar Diaz and Ryan Dreese for Travis Hafner. Even though we got rid of Franklin Gutierrez, we managed to trade a head case in Milton Bradley for him. He also traded Chuck Finley, in the last year of his career, for a PTBNL, who turned out to be Coco Crisp.

For you to say the Indians are going to trade one of our best players for prospects who won't ever make the big league club, is simply retarded

LOL, listen, you have only mentioned a couple on instances in which it actually worked out...then promptly the Indians let Phillips, Sabathia, Ludwick, Branyan, and countless others go as well..what did they get for Sabathia??? Where are they?? Have they helped this team in any way?? what did they get for Derosa whom they worked so hard to get this offseason? I realize that the prospects the tribe got for Sabathia are still working their way up, budon't tell me I sound retarded is ludacris!! Think before you post!!

I could see the Rays trying to swap him for Cliff Lee, but not for Victor.

Would I take him? Depends on what other prospects the Rays include. Kazmir has two more years left on his contract at 22M total. That is a lot of money if he doesn't recover from his poor year. And let's be blunt- he has been bad this year. He has always been a high walk guy but this year they have ballooned. He is also on the smallish side at 6'0"; with shorter guys you tend to have more effort being exerted to throw hard and arm injuries are more likely. This was one of the factors in the Mets originally considering him expendable for Victor Zambrano. He has some miles on his arm, he has had elbow issues in the past and you have to wonder when it will finally go. This is a concern with all pitchers but moreso with your smaller starters.

I would have to see who else the Rays include considering that the Tribe would be eating more salary to take on Kazmir. If the Rays still tos in a good prospect or two I would be open to it- just let the team doctors pour over Kazmir's records first.

Stranger things have happened....as for his size, it has nothing todo with it, Lincecum is 5'11" and has a 2.45 ERA...Kazmir was a highly touted pitcher, he'll be good again.

I didn't call you retarded, I said it is retarded to say that.. The Indians traded Phillips for a reliever named Jeff Stevens, who they packaged in a deal for Mark DeRosa, who is now gone for Chris Perez who will have a future in our pen if he gets more control. Ludwick and Russell Branyon were dumped by many teams, Ludwick because he was always injured and Branyon because he is trash. Sabathia was just traded LAST season for Double AA prospects and you expect impact players already?
