Series Six - Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Indians - April 18, 19, 20, 21

Fuckin Sweep!!

Anyone wondering how the Royals are 10-5 (and also had multiple chances to win today, mind you) needs to look no further than the fact that they have scored 80 runs, good for third in the majors, and have a team batting average of .279, good for fifth in the majors. Gordon is the real deal, too -- he has been hitting out of his mind and he was making several nice plays in the outfield today, too.

Royals had one of the best team batting averages in the MLB last year, but I guess this year they are actually driving in runs to go along with that.

Well, looks like our pitching is going to really have to step up this series. This could be a good measuring stick for where we really stand in our division. I think this is important for establishing this team as real or not.

I can't say this often but I'm really liking what I see out of this team.

Okay, we can debate the Gradymeister thing forever and where Brantley might hit, but here's a question:

Who gets sent down or waived on Tuesday? Someone has to. It has to be an outfielder.

Buck
Kearns
Duncan

Which one? I'm torn. I believe the best thing to do would be to keep Buck and Kearns. Place Duncan on waivers in the hopes he clears them so he can be sent to AAA. I like having a RH and a LH hitter on the bench. If Buck is sent down it would give us all RH'd hitters, including Everett and Marson. Not good.

Anyway; it will be interesting. I'm concerned about the Tuesday game. We win tomorrow. If we win Tuesday, it's a sweep. We play KC next week for three games as well. We could really do some damage in the Central division over the next two weeks.

Probably Buck, and he will get designated for assignment. If he isn't claimed, not sure if he takes the assignment to Columbus, since their roster is also pretty full and he might be better off finding another AAA team to latch on to.

I know it won't be Kearns, b/c he is a right-handed bat off the bench and is the team's best defensive OFer off the bench. Duncan would seem like a possibility, but he has that rare right-handed power that this team is so lacking in. I see him making it for now.

I don't know, Buck has been making a case for himself these last 2 games or so. He actually did something that helped this team win today. I think that may have been the first productive thing any of those LF-platooners have done! :chuckles:

I think it will be Duncan... but that's just me!

Finally i got some some time to watch the games and post. I missed all of you beautiful posters.

Duncan won't go... he's one of the few righties that are hitting. I think it's Buck.
