Try being a Muslim in Europe after such an attack.. That's the whole point of the attacks. To cause a rift between Muslims in Western Europe and everyone else. This helps extremist causes because folks impulsively dive into tribalism, as you're seeing in this thread already. The instantaneous reaction of Islam being the problem, and Muslims are a threat.

That by definition is bigotry.

The very mentality that there is some distinct difference between someone who is Muslim and someone who is French is astounding.

No one supports the attackers - the point is that when I come in here and read the thread, a thread about the attacks, I'd rather not read bigoted comments about Muslim people. Yes the attackers are Muslim extremists. But we then take that and attack 1+ billion people as a matter of course?
