And I'm not sure what to do with myself...

I work 10pm-10am 3 nights a week and most of that time I'm sleeping... [I take care of a mentally retarded guy but he's pretty high functional, yet still requires 24 hr care so I get there...get him off to bed and I can surf the net, watch tv or my favorite sleep until he wakes up..which he usually doesn't until after I leave.]

If I'm not there I'm working at my cousins business, but still I find myself bored out of my mind.

My gf is either at school or volleyball or something and I'm going nuts

I just need a couple "19 year old on his own" survival tips, or something of that nature...

I miss my dogs, but I don't want any other dogs, I'm just friggin lonely..

you could go to school, try and pick up another job, get a hobby, or perhaps the most impressive learn to cook.

im 25 just got my degree last month, and now that im working 40 hours a week there isnt much i really do other than work, work out with some of the guys i live with, and sleep. enjoy the freedom while you have it.

I ONLY wish I had time to burn.

I like Bobs advice on taking classes. Thats something that appreciates for the rest of your life. Especially if you have time during the day. If I had time during the day, I would have my masters already. That automatically raises my income 20g's a year just completing a masters program.

I spent my 18-21 years just enjoying the freedom from my folks, and I now I wish I hadnt kicked it as much.

Bang some chicks and you'll be good..

Enjoy the silence brother...I know you don't want to hear it at 19 but trust me we were all there at one point or another

You thinking about college at all? If not you should look into it. It is a blast plus a degree is a big thing once you start looking for a real job

I just graduated and started grad school 3 weeks after...plus i have a full time career mind you...I get to work at about 730 ish work till about 515 then I go to school from 6-10 at night

Full time work....Full time school... plus a GF who is all I can handle ...throw in that I travel for work a decent amount and well...

Enjoy the silence...do it for me at least cause I couldn't be more jealous

Even though I loved my four years of college so much, in an odd sort of way I kinda wish I would have postponed it a bit so I could attend now.. :chuckles:

I know that sounds weird, but I have a couple friends (one is 27, and the other is 30) and they're both finishing their degrees, and seem to be really enjoying the experience....

I might look into a Grad school so I can start taking some classes, cause I would love to get back into it...

I'm thinking of being a personal trainer, I'm just not sure where I want to go for it, I took a guy I work with today to the YMCA and showed him the machines and demonstrated the exercises and he liked that a lot.

I like working out, I like helping people, it seems like a good fit.

Im in a similar boat. I moved out like 3 months ago to be closer to college. Best move ever. I know what you are saying about missing your dog though. I almost feel like he's here with me sometimes though. It's just great to have some peace and quiet.

In all honesty, do not procrastinate on what you want to do. Learn to be multi-talented, more than one option of careers.

I thought I was fine when I was 19, great job, great money. Almost a decade later, I'm now going to college this fall. Nothing to fall back on when I injured myself to where I can't do what I'm used to. :thumbdown

I feel ya brother! I work full time, goto school full time and work a part time job as a server on top of it and will be attending referee school in about a month..busy busy.

and as far as being a personal trainer, why not just goto college, get your sports management degree and run a gym instead? Pay would be much better..

Drink, party, bang some chicks along the way. Your only that age once and only get one shot at doing it.

You should move close to downtown cdt, and get a job as one of those guys that deliver stuff on their bikes...

I'm not sure what they're called (bike messengers ??) But, I always thought that had to be the easiest job ever...

All they do is ride around the city on their bikes with their backpacks on...:chuckles:

Working downtown is kinda cool...I used to work by Tower City. Get a job as a server or something at a downtown spot. That'd be fun, plus youd meet a ton of people.
