So Long, Mo Gotti Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes, because he really showed up in the playoffs last time when we needed him.

Not liking this pickup. More of a Marketing / Fan attention grabber than anything else. Same deal with resigning Delly.

Mo couldn't hack it before, why the hell waste time on him now? He was a no-show before when it mattered most.

....Except he'll be the 4th, possibly 5th scoring option, and not being relied upon as a primary scorer as he was the first time around.

We may need someone to step up again (most likely will - given Irving's injury history), and Mo has proven he is unable to do that. Hope we make more moves. Hope to God.

i'll eagerly await your list of free agent backup point guards that have shown the ability to play at a high level in the nba finals that the cavs could have otherwise signed instead of mo williams.

and you do realize that even if irving was injured again, that williams would still not be the default #2 scoring option correct?

as has been stated throughout this discussion, Williams is not the 2nd option on this team as he was in his first go around. He's here to backup our starting backcourt. Depending who he's out there with, he'll either be running the point or playing the JR role of being a spot up shooter.
Right. It baffles me how people don't understand player roles.

You CANNOT say that. You cannot guarantee Love or Irving's health, especially by the time we get to the playoffs.
We arent going to get a player that is going to replace them and we will lose if both those guys are out again. Only way if that was different is if we got a ridiculous haul like Gay for Haywood.

On the other hand I was dying to have Barbaso on this team. Just needed another guy who was a threat to score and we would have at least pushed that series to 7

He doesn't have to be the #2 guy on the Cavs like he was before. There are two guys named Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving who are both signed to the Cavs for several years...

Not wanting Mo on this team because of his performance as LeBron's second banana on an otherwise shitty playoff team five years ago is like complaining to the gas station attendant that you tried filling your Ferrari up with the cherry fragrance spray and it didn't go anywhere.

That cherry fragrance spray is delicious, my man. But you're spraying it inside of an already well made, refined piece of machinery. Leave it to it's intended role and it takes that Ferrari driving experience to another level.

PS anyone ever try substituting that spray for grenadine?

Can we go back and see your post where you said Delly would be a major playoff contributor b/c I dont think anybody saw that coming? You CANNOT say that Mo will absolutely shrink come playoff time unless you can see into the future in which case please provide me the next Powerball winning numbers via PM. :encouragement:

To be fair, Mo was also terrible in the playoffs as a fifth/sixth option for the Trailblazers in 2013-14.
But I'd say this signing is more about the regular season because Mo helps keep Kyrie's minutes under control. You just can't have another full season of Delly as the only other point guard on the roster.

It is nearly impossible to text while driving, on an app that keeps closing. This should explain a lot.

Keys and every one else rating that post funny : I get it, we signed almost every one from the finals team. But how would you but expect anything other than that? We can give each and every one of them the most money and the best shot at winning. It would be ridiculous if we didn't do at the very LEAST that. It's like thrOwing a party because water came out when you turned on the shower

ther teams improving, why can't we?
So someone told you we are done making moves?
Impatience is awesome.

Someone told me we've gone from looking at potentially Dwayne wade, Joe Johnson or David west down to... Jamal Crawford.

I'm begging to be surprised. I'm rooting for the same team as you guys are, believe it or not

This isn't a situation where if your kid makes a shitty macaroni necklace you have to be happy for him bc he has your heart.. it's actually ok to be jealous and is SMARTER to compare the necklace to the couple across the streets` daughter writing a symphony abd playing it at Avery Fisher hall
