Baxter should be cut, he's got the biggest cap hit I believe, I think it was $10 million for 06.

He'll probably be cut in 08 I would guess.

Clements wouldn't be healthy for long if he signed here.

Unless he accepts a buy out, you can't. He's injured.

And I agree, depending on what kinda money we give Clements, he would be a huge signing, but odds are its going to be a ton of money.

Oh well if we go 5-11 in 07 and at least make it look like we tried it's a helluva lot better than pulling a Dolan and sitting pat and aiming for the 1st pick..

Yeah, I'm assuming he should be healed in 08 but even that's a huge stretch. Regardless I don't think he has much of a career left on our team.

Hopefully he takes a pay cut.

One guy I do see us releasing if they don't re-work their deal will be Daylon...he is owed a bunch of money and he just isnt worth it.

Schaff might as well.

You, Have to give Fraley a chance. He played good this year. Without him Ross Tucker might be our center... Friggin' Ross Tucker.

Credit goes to Sporting News for this info:

Dolphins are interested in Cosey Coleman
Browns are likely to target Clements

Not much, but just thought I'd share...

With him being from Cleveland, that was a no brainer..hopefully we can snatch him up. I know his girlfriend still lives in Cleveland.

Let me guess she's black? I could see Mac kicking his game at BW3 or something "I'm going to school ya know..what's YOUR man doing?" "Oh he just intercepted Chad Pennington!" :chuckles: jp jp

I'm glad we're targeting him he's been a favorite of mine for a while...hopefully we can land he and Steinbach and maybe upgrade somewhere else and add depth.

Or we could just get lineman, good ones of course.

Just picking up good linemen won't make our line magically good. They need to work together and we need that healthy bentley in the middle.Line is all about chemistry.

But having talent is the first step....even if they had no chemistry, a line full of talent would still be light years better than the crap we have with great chemistry.

O line has to be first priority. If you can control the line on O, you can run the ball much more effectively and have more time in the pocket to find WR's. That can make ok players very good.

Clements would be a great pickup for us. Provides many things outside of talent.

I guess the Patriots, Chargers, Saints, Jets, Ravens, and Chargers have proved that theory wrong...
