Steven Kwan Appreciation Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The guy in my avatar is kind of big deal.

Kwan is having an MVP start to the season, still only 26 years old.

I was a day one Kwan skeptic and viewed him as a mostly glove guy who could can on base a bit. His OBP was 356 through his first two season's which is good but not outstanding.

So far this year he's getting on base 40% of the time and is on pace for 15HR's. His OPS is 915 so he'll probably cool off but a 800OPS Kwan is a damn good player. An elite leadoff man with an elite glove.

Legitimate All-Star candidate.

When I look at Kwan's slash line I cant help but think of DJ LeMahieu. DJ didn't turn the corner as hitter until about the 1300PA mark. Well Kwan hit that marker at the end of last season and now he's turning a big corner so far.

DJ's career slash line after his first 1300PA's 297/363/429 with a 793OPS. Those look like realistic markers for Kwan moving forward.

That win yesterday should be remembered as the

Kwantum Leap Victory
