I read through some of this thread and now i'm really confused.
As some of you know, I own an internet based custom printed apparel company - http://www.inktastic.com
I am aware of the Kony video, but haven't watched it because I'm sure it is depressing. I noticed that our competitors are now selling Kony apparel to "raise awareness". This doesn't seem right to me. If we're going to create and sell Kony shirts, we're going to donate some of the proceeds. So we set up a special site specifically for Kony designs and have our graphics designers working on designs. The plan is to donate 30% of all sales from his store to inivisiblechildren.com - but now I'm confused about the whole thing.
Is this a good idea? Is there somewhere else to donate the money that would better help the children of Uganda? Other than bringing him to justice is Kony even still a real issue? Are children still suffering because of him? I'd appreciate any feedback before we open our new site.
invisible children only donates 30% of their proceeds and isnt generally thought of as a good organization.. And donations to any cause to africa is like taking a fly swatter and.. well going to africa.
My aunt's going to Uganda to help out personally, I don't expect her back.
wtf is sp? and goddammit wtf is sa
