This guy tends to say some of the most ridiculous things and then contradicts them…

Since this is going to be a phenomenal interesting summer for the Lakers I’m sure Magic will be one to watch…

We’re gonna start today with this.

Why does this work on people? How did he convince Lebron? I just don't get it. He must really be insanely charming in person.

I guess the Clippers and the Nets don't need to improve? They had the same number of playoff wins as the Lakers and Knicks, which is also the amount of insight his tweet provided.

Even if you take his statement as legitimate critique instead of clown world shit...why not the Nets and Bulls and Rockets, too? Those teams don't need to improve????

If I had a Magic Johnson that could talk it would say things like "if you suck me i will grant you 3 wishes", or "holy shit it smells in there, you need to douche"

I'd put OJ Simpson's twitter in there too. The comments to OJ's tweets are always amazing.

I may be wrong but the Lakers and Knicks are storied franchises so maybe that’s why he mentioned them! The Clips/Nets aren’t in that category!

What about legends like Danny Manning, Corey Maggette, and Swen Nater? Lakers fans always think they are the only franchise with history

He said big market, not storied. Also, the Knicks are without question the most overrated franchise in sports and while New York was unquestionably the center of basketball world in the 1930s - 1960s those days are long gone, evidenced by the decline of the NIT. The alleged “Mecca of Basketball” is the oldest building in the NBA built over the world’s worst train station housing an idiot owner and a horribly managed NBA team. They have a unique record of failure but the Lakers ownership and management are fully committed to matching the Knicks pathetically bad mismanagement of a can’t lose media market.

One of the most exciting races to the bottom in decades!

He was charming, threw that big smile and laugh. I met him when his theatre opened in Randall Park mall back in the late 90's. Randall Park was already on its last legs after Eddie DeBartolo died and Simon took it over. Horne's had closed and JC Penney was a clearance store, but Magic got funding through Leows. Other than Magic's name, it never really made sense. The mall couldn't support their original smaller movie theatre when it was popular.

Pulling out Swen Nater, I like it!

I can’t get into this Lakers TV series on HBO because I just can’t suspend disbelief that some random 6’3 actor dude is Magic Johnson. Just such a unique and recognizable figure, you can’t imitate it
