That guy is a mess physically though. His feet are jacked to the fact that he grew way faster than his shoes could accommodate. It will take major surgery to correct them and that would take years to accomplish.
That guy is huge, but I doubt he will ever be anything in the nba.
For those that haven't heard of him, the reason he is so tall is because of a tumor on his pituitary gland. He's had 2 surgeries to remove it and they aren't sure it's gone. He is constantly growing and won't stop unless the tumor is completely detroyed. In all likelyhood he is going to die at a very young age. I don't see him ever pllaying in the NBA, the human body wasn't designed to be 7'9". If he were ever to play the Cavs, Z would look like a young Olajuwon playing against him....the dude is sooooo slow. He scored 10 and 5 in about 25 minutes the other night. The NBA would probably kill him.
Actually I just read a brief article. He is playing for Maryland and not doing too shabby. 5 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks in about 14 minutes a night.
jeez, sort of a sad situation. hopefully he gets whatever help he needs when he is done with the NBA, because like Max said, the human body isnt made to be that big, let alone move around and be that big.
That hand over the ball reminds me of playing with this nerf ball and a hoop with this metal rim that was up on my wall in my bedroom when growing up. The nerf ball was about as big as a soccer ball, and played nicely with this hoop. Awesome set-up. I was certainly a mini-Jordan............in my bedroom. Funny, now I'm a mini-Jeremy.
