Website Warns Of Attacks At NFL Games This Weekend
Government Skeptical Of Threat Against NFL Stadiums
Poll: Has this threat affected your weekend gameplan?

(CBS 13 / AP) WASHINGTON A website is claiming that seven NFL football stadiums will be hit with radiological dirty bombs this weekend, but the government on Wednesday expressed doubts about the threat.

The warningt, posted Oct. 12, was part of an ongoing Internet conversation titled "New Attack on America Be Afraid." It mentioned NFL stadiums in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled to be held this weekend.

Wow so we have a chance to get killed figuratively and in reality...let's just send Maurice there and check things out first :chuckles:

Glad to see our government is being proactive about this calling it malarkey and basically begging them to call their supposed bluff..

How ironic would it be that 7 stadiums get bombed after Bush breaks the backs of taxpayers with all this national security money...

Well you guys would sure miss me and mac. I'm going to the game regardless, why should I be scared. I'm going down with my team! literally.....

lol, all jokes aside, why did most of the teams that get targeted suck? raiders, houston, browns, miami....clearly a sick sick hoax.

prolly r-law talking trash on some site. the odds of something like that happening are so little, its all a scare tactic. which i dont even think is terrorists. there are not only dogs at almost all games, but there are air quality detectors, and in a outdoor arena, a dirty bomb wouldnt be very effective because in order for something like that to work, you need more of an enclosed space without ventalation. most of the stadiums named are outdoor arenas.

Who knows? It was on ESPN, local news, all sorts of media outlets...a hoax or not it's still not something to shrug off.

It's just a phony story put on a website by some idiot. The media has to report it but I don't think it should be taken seriously.

We are less than 3 weeks away from an election so maybe it's not too surprising something like this gets put out there.

Always good to here when I am going to the game sunder. But oh well I'm not worried at all. Browns stadium has been secured this year.. The first home game i got a cavity search.. lol a cavity search into a football game.

I find it hard to believe you got a cavity search and can now laugh about it. If some cop wanted to check inside my ass for contraband that would piss me off for the next several months.

Not to get off topic, but this remind me of a funny series of lines from The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King:

"I just got a cavity search by a guy with the longest finger in the world. I was afraid to look down. I thought I would see his finger sticking out my c*(k!"

I seriously dont believe you got a cavity search. But if you did, I would file a lawsuit so quick on the police.

am i the only one who finds this quote HILLARIOUS.

"Raiders senior administrator Artie Gigantino said there would be no noticeable increase in security this weekend at the Oakland Coliseum."

Was some girl middle age. Also wasn't a full out cavity search.. But at the browns home opener they took like one out of every 10 people to kind of search.... Wasn't no biggie but still.

[jay z] WE DONT BELIVE YOU, YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE [/JAY Z]

get outta here with those ducktales.

I was there and they did pick people out at random to do a deeper search. Def not cavity, but there was more than the normal pat down.

Apparently two Wisconsin High Schoolers were trying to see who could make the biggest internet threat..

And as we see, one of them won.. :chuckles:
