The 2015 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anybody else think that with everyone assuming the Browns are going to be shitty as fuck in 2015, that the Indians will attract more fans and people to games to offset the need of competitiveness?

I think this is a huge year for the Tribe. Especially if we can kick things off early in the season.

I really think we will see more people flocking to games than previous years, part in because of the anticipation of the shitty seasons the Browns will endure.

Not really, no.

Probably a slight uptick given the new renovations and fan experience.

Will rank well into the bottom 1/3 of attendance.

No way it is top 1/2 of the attendance. As AZ said, we will have a boost b/c people are going to want to come see the renovations, maybe a little more families will come to the games, but overall, it will be sub-par. Until we make the playoffs then all of the fans will come out of the sewers and talk about how they had their backs the entire year.

If I can make it up to CLE from Columbus for 20+ games a year, fans who live in freaking CLE, Lakewood, Sheffield, etc..can make it to the same amount.

I'll be studying for the bar exam....no tribe games for me...

I will be doing my part by bringing 20 dudes to Game 2 for my Bachelor Party. You're welcome, Mr. Dolan.
Did they put a Larry Flint's in right field? If not, you're going to the wrong venue.

I will watching from Wilburts. Hopefully the porch doesn't collapse again like it did last year.

Best and worst place to watch a game. Get drunk for a few bucks and fight for position near the bar to watch the game on their only 20" TV.

People are already talking themselves into Connor Shaw. Connor freaking Shaw. People are pissed now, but they'll still fill that stadium when the time comes.

I've been praying for significant decreases in Browns attendance for years. Only way to even slightly send a message.

I've been saying for years that the Indians are under-rated and these attendance issues are pathetic.

I wish the Tribe and Cavs sell out every game and no one goes to the Browns games. Tribe have been comptetive for years and the Browns well...

I dont know whether Indians fans are a dying breed or they just hate the Dolans so much that they refuse to go. Last time i checked the TV ratings were significantly high. So with the ratings being up there and all that you can't think Cleveland is flat broke because they afford cable to watch the games instead of going. Who knows, people just dont care for Baseball anymore. Well besides the sellout opener, more traditional so its mandatory i take it.

Perfect weather outside and I still watched 3 innings of Bruce Chen. God damn Cleveland sports....

This is completely off topic but with Al Rosen passing, the Indians really have to have a Eddie Robinson day this year. He's the only member of '48 left

Keith Law's Breakout Candidates:

Trevor Bauer, RHP, Cleveland

Bauer probably broke out already last year, with a 21.6 percent strikeout rate and WAR of 1.5, but there's clearly another level of control for him to reach that will make him a significantly more valuable pitcher. He's faced 51 batters this spring and walked none of them, which is notable because two years ago he couldn't drink a cup of coffee without walking two batters, and reports I've gotten from scouts and execs are uniformly positive.
