Nothing about that defense is all that decent, but I agree Hoyer probably provides more.
At least Boyer took some shots downfield. Don't mind the int when he was making plays down the field to justify the risks.
what decade? they have like 1 sack in 2 games this year. wheres the pressure. them getting 3 sacks on the browns indicates a problem beyond weedenMinnesota may have a fairly average defense, but they are known for getting a lot of pressure on the quarterback. Given that the Browns had absolutely no running game to keep them honest, what Hoyer pulled out was much more impressive than what anyone expected. He is trying to cement a job as a Browns second string QB of the future, and he is well on his way.
probably throws 14/30 152 yds, and 3 ints next week and we all fall back to earth

No no no, those throws were absolutely terrible - you must mind those. But it was his 1st start for us after a really weird week. Delivered/timed some beautiful passes when it mattered most. He played well enough to earn a few more starts.
Ohh, just in case anyone didn't know, Josh Gordon is probably 15x more important to this offense than Trent was.
I think he did great today. I say give him a chance the rest of the season, and if he leads us to the promised land, keep him, otherwise drop him fast and furious for Manziel.
