Well, the whole posting or not posting about Trump thing and where it is and isn't allowed was confusing for a while, so I just latched onto this thread because apparently it was acceptable. I wasn't sure where things belonged. I thought this thread was for stupid shit Trump was doing and the other was stupid shit the media was doing reporting on stupid shit Trump was doing.

As much as I joke, I think her agenda is clear.

If you receive government money, she doesn't care if you follow laws. In her confirmation hearing, she said she wouldn't even enforce schools receiving FEDERAL money to comply with IDEA. Now, she'll allow states to look the other way on LGBT discrimination. And, apparently, racial discrimination. It's like she wants us to live in a pre-Brown v Board world.

I think she sees vouchers as a tax break for the rich. Give state/federal money to families who already can afford to send their kids to private schools, and WGAF if the private schools comply with important legislation.

Sad thing is, there are some great alternative/charter schools all over the country, and an EdSec who champions those schools could've been great. Don't get me wrong, they would've gotten pushback from a lot people in public education, but I thought Trump was supposed to hire people who would take on the establishment and win. Instead we get someone with no knowledge, and an agenda of funneling public money to rich people under the guise of Education reform.
