The Dark Knight

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With the hype Citizen Kane gets you'd think it was entertaining.

Can't understand how you didn't enjoy the movie as much as others, based on how much I loved it just can't get that viewpoint, sorry.

How can you not understand anothers viewpoint on a movie? That doesn't make any sense, it's what that man felt the movie was, who cares what your view point is?

His opinion has nothing to do with yours, what is there to understand about that? I just dont get how you can bash or in this case, belittle, another's opinion on a movie.

I shared pretty much the same exact thoughts as jigo did with the movie being pretty good, but way over hyped. Joker was really good but all in all, it didnt blow me away and Bale as Batman annoys the hell out ofme

Now that you mention it...I gotta say, that overly deep voice he talks in as Batman was frustrating. If I remember correctly, Keaton did the same thing. It's another seemingly small thing that bothered me.

The idea behind it is that The Joker wanted to turn Harvey Dent into a bad guy, that he wanted to show that he could completely destroy someone as pure as Dent. He wanted to turn him into chaos and that's what he did. He also noted that it wasn't him that captured him and his wife (can't remember her name) and that he had accomplices in the police department that did the dirty work for him, making him needing vengeance on those he feel caused him harm. The Joker purposely got himself locked up for that very reason.

I appreciate the explanation. I think I should clarify though. I understood the gist of why the Joker did what he did. That's what he does. I just think someone as clean as Dent would need a whole hell of a lot more pushing to become such a psychological mess.

Obviously, anyone with a completely destroyed face and a lost loved one would be pretty screwed up in the head. But the guy was supposed to be this squeaky clean above-the-evil kind of guy and all of the sudden he wants to wreak vengeance on everyone while ignoring the whole concept of right and wrong?

Massive shark jump imo. And I found it so distracting that it took away from an amazing first 1hr or so.

I wasn't belittling his viewpoint, just saying that I enjoyed the movie so much, I just couldn't fathom having that viewpoint. I understand some will think that, just my opinion varies completely.

I didn't think it was over-hyped, I thought it was fair hypage.

Bale's deep Batman voice was awful in Batman begins but was toned down in Dark Knight a bit and how intense he got during the interrogation was fantastic. Heath as the Joker blew me away.

But he was leaning away from the squeaky clean to try to stop the Joker already. It wasn't that he was perfect, it was that he needed to seem perfect because Gotham needed it. Him becoming Two-Face wasn't something that happened all at once, you could see him nearing it before he had that huge push.

I found Two-Face to look and act awesome, and I thought it went well with the rest of the film.

I found Two-Face to look...awesome.

That I agree with. They did a good job with his face. Much better than Tommy Lee Jones' shitty two-face.

I do a spot on impersonation of him :chuckles:

You and me both....Bale drives me crazy as Batman..it just seem likes it being forced.

Well the guy disguises his face, why wouldn't he disguise his voice too? Not sure why everyone thinks that's so weird.

Just saw it and thought it was great! As it went on I started getting more and more into it. I didnt know how long it was and the longer it went the more I was sunk in. I got startled and jumped at quite a few times. No real complaints really, there were a few details I missed, but some nice plot twists and of course the Joker was awesome. Damn good movie, cant wait for the next one.

check this pic out, dent's face looks healed. his face didn't look like this the entire movie. does anyone think he will return looking like this?
