If you consider a pit bull you will need to check your county and township or city requirements...some do not allow pit bulls, some place taxes and some require additional insurance....fyi
They are very loyal and well trained dogs...its the ones that are not that give the breed a bad name.
If you like the pit but want to avoid the potential headaches..I would agree on the boxer...great dogs, wonderful with kids...just have to make sure you pick out the least high strung one of the litter...will be easier on you in the long run...also just as loyal and compassionate as a pit.
