The fiscal cliff

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wasn't Mitt Romney the exact same type? He literally changed his stance on pretty much everything from the primaries to the general election. If you voted for Romney, you voted for the exact same person you claim to be voting against in your quote above.

If you didn't vote for either, more power to you.

Mitt was able to get things done at the state level even though he was of the opposite party of the majority of state congress members. I am not calling Obama a flopper, I am calling him ineffective. One thing Mitt has proven through his various jobs is to be effective. I dont care that he is also elitist, we vote for the wrong traits in our leaders. There really should only be one trait that matters, does he get the job done. Not if you hate his hobbies, think his wife is a bitch or that he cant keep it in his pants.

Well, Mitt never had to deal with the Democrats stating they would oppose everything he did at the state level, so it's a bit of an unfair comparison.

A few said that, and i wish those few were voted out. Also there are 60 members of congress that are republican and did not sign the pledge and refuse to sign it, and another 50 or so more that said they dont care about the pledge and would raise taxes. Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one, and Obama is becoming one big Asshole.

what good does that do when Boehner refuses to let anything even come up for vote? I suspect the House would pass the President's current proposal as is if it were allowed to be voted on.

Reagan and Clinton maybe great communicators and presidents but they too had a hand in creation of the entire financial mess. I think it was Reagan who removed the regulations on Banks that allowed the banks to lend more money than they owned. And that just got worse in Clinton era. Only at that time artificial inflation was going on and that made us seem wealthier than what we truly are.

Fiscal cliff...in summary.

Not sure where you get your info from, but i would find another source. Bank Guidelines have zero to do with the fiscal cliff, and what you said about banking guidelines is 100% false.

The major portion of the housing crisis falls on George W's shoulders along with that congress. Subprime lending got out of control AFTER 9/11. Anyone blaming any thing else purely doesnt know what they are talking about which unfortunately includes 95%+ of America. The funny thing is, both parties were 100% blame for the mess. George W did nothing along the genius that Barney Frank. They were making so much money that they chose to look the other way.

But that discussion does not belong anywhere the fiscal cliff discussion. One has little to do with the other except they both involve finance.

Now you see why I didnt vote for Obama. Its not the campaign he was running, it was the one he wasnt. He was a say anything to get elected type and was accusing Mitt the whole time of doing things he himself was guilty of.

Mitt definitely didn't do that in his campaign, that's for sure.

i will agree with you on that. Its why i went to track record for my vote. Mitt has turned around a bussiness, an olympics and a state, Obama has turned around a car.

Or a rival party that came out and flat out admitted they would do everything possible to block everything the president tried to do regardless of whether or not they agreed with it.

+1.

When the opposing party says they want the four years of your presidency to be a failure before you even get inaugurated, it's tough for even the best leaders to establish a successful working relationship.

Proof the recovery has stalled. The economy was so bad when he took over that it had nowhere but up to go, and even then we have been in a stalemate pattern for the last 3 years. And saying he is better than George W is like saying she is prettier than Roseann Barr. Not much of a comparison.

you mean the track record where he campaigned opposing pretty much everything he did as governor?

Not really...it could have gotten much, much worse. Good work not giving the man credit for anything though.
