Here's a part of our new uniform starting next season:

The NBA has officially partnered with Stance socks, and every team will be wearing socks custom designed for them.

On a personal level, I think it's completely awesome. Stance socks are great, and the company is pretty fantastic.

Socks have become a big part of fashion. No, seriously. If you're rocking plain black with your dress clothes or white with your sneakers, you're might as well be wearing sandals with them. They are a huge element in fashion, and NBA players in particular have a passionate love of socks far and wide.

So it only makes sense that on Monday, it was announced that the league has officially partnered with Stance, which has already made a series of retro socks honoring players like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Alonzo Mourning, Allen Iverson, and more. Now they'll become the official sock of the NBA, with both a standard team version and an alternate available next season for each team in the league. Stance had already produced a Dwyane Wade custom edition, and also announced Monday that they've signed Klay Thompson as a representative.

The socks will be standard for players in Summer League and there will be custom editions for various NBA events including All-Star Weekend.

A look at some of the team socks available:

that's awesome. i really enjoyed seeing non-white socks during the all star game this year, and those teasers are all really sweet.

dark blue and dark red should never ever be on the same uniform. atrocity

Someone on the Sportslogos.net forums emailed the Cavs shortly after Dan Gilbert's tweet about the uniform. The response he received was that the base uniform set will be unchanged next year. Any new uniforms will be additional alts.

im biased, becuase i want to get rid of these fuckers, but of course theyre going to tell you that. want you to think they'll still be here next year (not out of style) and that theres no reason to wait for next year to buy something.

gilbert himself is saying new unis. its already been confirmed, i thought, many times. it also just doesnt make any sense to keep these, for a multitude of reasons.

for the love of god, just change these uniforms.

The sooner they do away with the Ronald McDonald All Star jerseys the better. Our colors are not mustard and ketchup.

I think those socks suggest that the blue jerseys will be one of our primaries.

It also seems like we would be rocking yellow or wine jerseys. Do you have to have a white jersey or could we just have two color jerseys?

Edit: A quick look through the league and the Lakers are the only ones that have to colored jerseys (Yellow and Purple). They have a white alternate as well.

I really like the warm-ups in those colors. I agree the similarity to McDonald's is striking, but I can't help but like the colors. And I'm sure McDonald's is lovin' the rep.

I also agree with whomever said they wanted to see a mock-up of the cityscape with the Blue and Orange Colors (I think it may look a lot like NYK, though).

Does this sock update mean that everyone has to wear matching socks? Personally I like letting everyone have some individuality, and the occasional outlandish socks from the likes of Jason Terry and others.

If the Cavs were planning to unveil an entirely new set, there are a million ways the organization could've answered that email without outright lying to a customer. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if they say the plan is to stick with this set for another year, then that's what's happening.

thats all I can think of when I see the Rockets unis. It's like they have a McD's sponsorship.
