What the heck happened with Dampier? I guess he never did recover from that...shoulder injury I think it was. He took off like the last 2 weeks of the season, looks like he was still hurt.
So instead of going with Diop, they tried to match GS's speed with...<cough> Devin George. I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Amazing game from Golden State. GS is better than their record. We really didn't get to see them play with a healthy team post-Indiana trade the whole season. They match up real well with Dallas and have the right coach to go against them. I predicted it would be Dallas in 6 and I'll stick with that.

When Baron Davis is on his game, he's as lethal as anyone in the NBA.
His combination of handles and athleticism, plus his body control on drives is incredible. When his jumper's on, he's unstoppable.

Baron was insane tonight and the Mavs couldn't do a thin down the stretch. The Warriors were one of the hottest teams coming in, needing to win like 10 of 12 or something like that to close the season and nab that last playoff spot. They also never lost the Mavs during the regular season. Heck, some even acuse Avery Johnson of throwing Nelly a bone by playing his subs in a crucial game at the end of the season, wouldn't that be funny if it came back to bite him.

^^^ If Avery did throw Nellie a bone to allow him to get into the playoffs it was a huge mistake. That allowed the Warriors to sweep the season series... I know, I know, it's just the regular season. But it sure didn't look like the Warriors were afraid last night. Game 2 should be very entertaining. Dallas is almost playing a must-win game. Going back to GS down 0-2 would be pretty tough to overcome. And I love the GS crowd... they will be rowdy after 13 years without the playoffs.

Yeah great game. Dallas cut the lead close, but GS pulled away. B-Diddy is a stud. He and Stephen Jackson were fired up. It was funny to see Mark Cuban bitch...:chuckles:

I still think Dallas might take it in 6 due to their overall experience and all but...I wouldn't be shocked to see the Warriors take it either..this is the series I'm most interested in..

I like the warriors team...i have always loved baron davis and stephen jackson(yeah i know hes ignorant but i like his game).Baron davis number 2 pg in the league when healthy,he just has health problems.I think its due to conditioning issues,im glad to see him open up with a bang last night.
