The ISIS offensive in Iraq

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
More than the act itself, the fear in people's eyes as they're about to be killed sticks with me.

It makes me extremely angry when I see that shit.

Yeah, I was in a "nuke 'em all" mood for about a week after I saw the Daniel Pearl execution. But at some level, it is worthwhile to see so you have some understanding of the level of barbarism we're fighting.

Ok so, I've been reluctant to dive in but several years back, I watched a beheading video and it was easily the most disturbing thing I have seen. That video was most definitely real and the audio was honestly the most disturbing part. I have seen some shit in my life but that one impacted me and I'll never forget it. I haven't watched this latest one for that reason but I will say that for those that have watched it, it should leave no doubt whether it's real or not. If there is any question then I have to wonder how legit it actually is. I just can't bring myself to watch it.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have done more research or looked at the previous page. I didn't realize that the video doesn't actually show the beheading as it happens. That really surprises me.
I'm assuming on of the videos from Iraq? The gurgling sounds still bring on nightmares

yes, it was the gurgling that was truly unforgettable. I just can't watch anything like that anymore.

If the gurgling bothered you, then the sound someone's windpipe makes when its cut in half and desperately gasping for air will make it all better. You'll be able to find that in the Mexican beheadings video and one where some Chechen rebels slashed a Russian soldier's throat.

The Russian one I must have watched at LEAST 7 years ago and I will never forget the sound.

I think our opinions about what a beheading should look like are largely influenced by the things we see in a cinematic experience and perhaps real life is much less dramatic.

Protip: Don't come into this shit pile of a thread if you've had a rough day and need a pick me up.

The world is a shit show right now.

You mean it has been different any other time? Besides when man hasn't walked the earth. :p

Reminds of the line by the character Johner from Alien: Ressurection -- "Earth, man. What a shithole."
