Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I bet Joey Lawrence says "Whoa...it's me"

Ugh

So does the NFL make him sell the team still?

That will have to wait for the federal indictments. Depends on if they feel they can get charges to stick, then the NFL would have no recourse. Settling with the various customers his company defrauded solves one problem (and only if all of the 17 plaintiffs who were victims of this small scale, rogue salesman driven situation all agree to the settlement conditions) but certainly does nothing for the federal case.

The NFL has stood by criminal owners before, I don't see a reason why they wouldn't stand by them in the future.

Haslam hasn't proven he can successfully do anything with regards to this team yet.

I wouldn't be devastated over losing him at this stage, simply because I don't have a body of work to form an opinion from.

Sucks short term though, in the unlikely event it happens.

I think the issue is that it appeared we were finally in for some organizational stability, and then this shit happened. Sure, Haslam and company haven't proven anything yet, but at least they seem to have a plan and a management style that is conducive to long-term success. If Haslam is forced to sell the team, we're once again in organizational limbo and left on the brink of another rebuild when the new owner inevitably brings in his own guys.

The devil you know...

I think we can all agree on the sentiment. Here's the thing. Haslam has shown that he actually cares about the future and present of the Browns team and organization. I don't want to lose that; we haven't had something like that since Al Lerner.

He's done the job PR wise thus far, were all still waiting for the actions to back up that talk.

Did you not hear about the wiener dog races? I don't know what else you want.

I mean, they made some solid moves in free agency and the draft, actually traded picks for future assets, and have supposedly upgraded many things, including the quality of the food served to the players. Obviously we still need to see the quality of the product on the field, but I don't see how anyone can say that they haven't been making the right types of moves already.
