The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
we cant trade snow with we could that trade would be awesome then trade wally for g-force WOW oh welll

From what I heard about Snow the key is the insurance on his contract. If he does not play we will get some money back. If he is traded I don't know if the team he is traded to gets the money, he can't be traded due to injury or if the cavs look at him as a lottery ticket.

If he is traded it could be just a big lottery ticket to that team. Maybe they cash in on the insurance and pay half the year on his contract too.

Nobody ever talks about the injured player exception whoich we should get by the deadline.

I think Josh Howard was mentioned a while ago, but would anyone be willign to take a chance on the guy? I was reading an artilce that a mod posted on a Dallas forum talking about the Mavs talking to pretty mcuh every team about Howard. And that it looks like they are trying to trade him by the deadline.

He can score, he defends and he is fairly young. Only concern is his attitude, but he would definitely be a good fit if we could get past those concerns. Worth the risk?

I saw Broussard on ESPN talking about him. He said Dallas is desperately shopping him, but the market is very very small for him because of his recent issues.

I wonder if there's any way I can trade for Howard, he'd make a great smoking buddy. Maybe Maybe my Chicago CTA transit card + all the money in my checking account (barely 3 figures until my financial aid refund comes) for Howard?

Missed that, sucks that guys so talented get themselves in these kind of situations. But if you really look at it, the drama he has been in hasn't been anything that bad. Except the weed but hey he is human lol, thats not a horrible issue either. There is no question what this guy is capable of on the court but i guess the Cavs might not be interested because of character issues.

True. I would take him over most players that have been mentioned if we all we have to give up is Wally, picks, DJ or whatever.

He is a very good defender, can get to the hoop, and has a really good mid range game I believe.

I think there could be numerous 3 team trade opportunities. Maybe with the Bobcats or the Bulls. Nocioni could be an interesting player for the Mavs, someone who could fit well with them. And the Bulls could be lookign to shed his contract to give some of that money to Gordon. The Bobcats had interest in Diop with according to a rumored deal. Here are 2 trade scenerio's i came up with.....

Trade 1:

Cavs get:
Josh Howard
Sean May

Mavs get:
Gerald Wallace
Nazr Mohammed

Bobcats get:
Wally Szczerbiak
Desagana Diop

Trade 2:

Bulls get:
Wally Szczerbiak
2009 first via Cavs

Mavs get:
Andres Nocioni
Tyrus Thomas

Cavs get:
Josh Howard

i don't see the mavericks dumping him for someone like wally. they aren't looking for cap relief. they're trying to make a run in the playoffs because Cuban will never admit his team doesn't have a shot, which is the case this year. They, from what i remember, are looking for "explosion at the wings" and/or low post scoring. That was what the wiretap article on realgm said, at least. maybe they could get carter for howard. the nets would probably love to have a core of harris, lopez, howard, and yi. that's actually a a nice group to build around.

Doubt it will happen but Rip sounds really unhappy in Detroit. Shame they'll probably never trade anyone decent here.

Rips only 29 or 30, and hed be a perfect starting 2-guard for our team.
