The Sony Hack...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What's the score?

Are we winning now?

Since it's just a limited release, are we tied with the evil doers going into the 4th?

If Sony was the Browns, today they'd accidentally sign a deal with North Korea that gave Kim Jong Un all profits tied to the movie.

... the terrorists' goal was to make us take off our shoes?

We sacrificed a great deal of freedom for a false sense of security; that's his point. If "the terrorists" "hate us because we are free" then they succeeded in simultaneously making us less free and bolstering their own ranks.

In essence, the "War on Terror," as framed, is a joke... it's Orwellian double-think.

Removing shoes is not a great deal of freedom. It is common sense, especially after Richard Reid tried to use a shoe bomb. Not doing a simple check for a known tactic would be negligent. Terrible example.

We Americans are bad, bad, free people. Slobs. Just because North Korea doesn't have our morals doesn't make Kim Jong Un and his sycophants "terrorists". :chuckle:

We are pretty shitty people in the grand scheme of things.

Depends how grand the scheme is. On this planet, I beg to differ. Probably middle-of-the-pack. If the spectrum is "not that shitty" to "extremely shitty", I suppose I'd agree. All depends on what vantage you're looking from, I suppose. As an American looking outward, I see some straight taboo out there. Often.

I think I've eclipsed my limit of butthole related talk this week. :chuckle:

We're spoiled, fat, loud, entitled and violent and our country has a history of absolutely dominating everyone it comes into contact with.

I personally would rather be American than any other nationality because of the sheer amount of opportunity here and the fact that we dictate a great deal of politics and economics worldwide. I'd rather be the asshole jock bully than the kid that gets bullied and shoots up the school.

Removing shoes is a joke. Chris Rock, the comedian, is using the one common small example that everyone can relate to of removing one's shoes when travelling as an allegory to the larger message of government encroachment that was continually referenced by the nation's Framers.

It's pretty straight forward bro.

Did you just call us a bunch of Yankees fans? :chuckle:

We share the same sentiment, for the most part. The USA does make efforts, as a nation, to be big advocates on human rights. Even when considering the shortcomings we have at home. It is driven in self-interest, which I could understand people having disdain for. I shouldn't have to feel bad because my water isn't ridden with Cholera and my quality of life is relatively high, though.

So rather than pay $6 for it, I'll wait til it hits torrent sites. This way neither NK or Sony wins.

Because honestly, this just screams false flag to drum up interest for a garbage film.

The movie had it's moments but it was very meh... Did think the ending was petty funny though.
It's amazing how far Seth has fallen. He used to be my fav.

The Government making/allowing terrorist threats against it's own country?
I've heard worst things but I doubt it.
