I've been a big fan of his from the beginning. I think his bb iq is the best on the team. How many big men in the league guard out front and can handle the banging inside?

He challenges shot after shot.
Covers the pick and roll better than any big we have.
Is really the backup center that we have lacked.
Has some attitude which is something we have lacked.
Sets picks, cuts to the hoop, defends all the way down the floor, beats his man down the floor even though he was just under the basket boxing out.
Throws a few chicken wings.
He pisses off the other team because of little holds, bumps, picks that the refs don't pick up. Some of the stuff I see from SA players and the pistons.

He goes and congratulates ALL good plays by others. Which is something lebron should do ALL the time.

I don't like just calling him an energy guy. he hustles and that same hustle could be done by everybody but they are not.

From what I've seen it's looked like lebron enjoys having him back on the floor. Numerous times he would screen player/players when lebron drove. The one dish to sasha AV screened everybody in the lane.

I like what sasha has been doing but our bounce back from losing has coincided with more AV minutes too.

I have dish network and can go back and watch plays. You can see alot. You also can see why he was the most asked about player in the off-season.

AV is averaging 16.7 rebounds per 48 minutes. He doesn't have enough games to be among the league leaders. Dwight Howard is #1 with 16.5 rebs per 48min.

AV is averaging 3.93 steals per 48 minutes. He doesn't have enough games to be among the league leaders. Brevin is #1 with 3.47 per 48min.

Anderson could really be the x-factor in helping this team go deep into the playoffs. Good to see him back and playing harder than ever.

Wait. so AV is averaging more with less minute? :chuckles:

i think coach brown is glad to see him period. i would have to guess he wasn't that familiar with AV before this. maybe a little from indy/cavs matchups. i'm sure he's happy that he is on his side now.

i forgot about the steals on my long azz original thread.
another thing i forgot is he tips the ball to teamates. i don't know if they consider it a rebound but when he is on the floor i see more cav players tipping balls.

He is a phenomenon, no doubt about it. If we could transfuse some of Lebron's offensive abilities into Anderson, and some of Anderson's defensive abilities into Lebron, we'd have two supermen. AV is really making a big difference now that he's overcome the fear of re-injuring himself.

I am very excited about AV - and when Larry comes back, we will be deadly. When LeBron would sit, we'd run a set where there would be a double pick for Larry at the top of the key. Larry would rub his man off and either pull up near the foul line, or drive to the hoop or hit a rolling big who had set a pick. This will suit AV well, and afford James some rest late in the season. I don't think Drew is good in this roll - he gets too excited with the ball in traffic. Z is too slow. AV and Larry runnin this will be great.

i know some people are going to talk about his flopping like bill walton did.

but with the flopping has come charges, a few fouls and some no calls. the thing with the no calls is there is a player on the floor in front of the driving player and he either has to shoot a jumpshot (with someone under their feet) or pass. it happened to steve nash and it turned out well.

he flops because he beats people to spots on the floor.

I have been most impressed with his awareness since his return. He sees the floor better this year then last. He hasn't been as foul prone, which comes down to more patience. He is an energy guy who is developing a solid defensive game to be much more then a "energy guy". Still has ways to go offensively, but we can be patient with that.
