Theoretically Ante Zizic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I agree about the strength - Biggest difference between the two is Zubac is bigger and their mobility is about the same. You can see it a bit in how they try to finish Zubac tends to go for the dunk while Zizic has more of that Joker flip shot in his repertoire. Really impressed with what Zubac has been able to do after he was put in the starting lineup but in large part that may be due to the Lakers playing with a good center already. It's like plug and play for them between Zubac, Chandler, and McGee. They do a nice job with the PnR getting their center rolling to the basket or matched up and then pin down a smaller dude.

However, size is a big deal here and I think Zubac has at least 2 inches on Zizic which makes it easier for the Lakers to find him and hit the glass. Don't really know much about the Euro game but if Zizic is a better primary playmaker in Euro it might not translate to the NBA as well vs a center who can play well off others. (Obviously the Joker is in a different category as he's an elite passer)

Zubac has been seen as the weaker of the 2. He is supposed to be the finesse guy while Zizic is supposed to be the power player. I dunno about the size thing. Maybe Zubac is 2 inches taller, but Zizic has a bigger frame and his hands are huge. His screens are crushing

To be fair Zizic was dunking and having his way in the paint the few times LeBron shared the court with him. Now he routinely gets doubled.

Cedi, Collin, and Zizic could all benefit from spacing. There is no spacing on this team.

There were talks of waiving Zubac in order to create roster space a few weeks ago. McGee contracts pneumonia then suddenly the Lakers have found their franchise center ("I mean do we even need to trade for AD?" is the talk now lol)

In terms of their differences, Zubac is 2" taller, has a 1" advantage in wingspan but the biggest difference is Zubac's agility/mobility which he uses to protect the paint and work efficiently in tight spaces which is crucial for the current NBA (I do thinking Zubac will struggle without LeBron). Lakers motion offense versus our telegraphed slow plodding offense doesn't help either because our options are limited, teams basketball IQ is low and shooting is scarce.

I find it quite interesting that LA did consider to move Zubac. Both Zizic and Zubac, when I watch them, I see NBA players who should be invested in. The search for centers that fit space&pace has become an obsession that they don't see the value in actual NBA players. These guys could have gone in the lottery at top spots 10 years ago.

When he was in that was the only time guys had trouble scoring points around the rim. He seems to be more aggressive and that may be coming with playing with Delly and Payne. They are more likely to find him.

That could be a cool unit.

Delly
PAYNE
JC
Blossomgame or Jones
Zizic.

Seems like a pretty nice balance and lots of play making. Zizic looked good passing the ball back out when he didn't have a good shot.

Now all we need is a starting lineup. Bench is pretty good

That lineup at the end of the first quarter was really clicking, I think it was Delly, Payne, Clarkson, Cedi and Zizic. Granted Delly was out of his mind but that unit scrapped really well and opened up a big lead.
Its just a shame it took almost every injury under the sun to get AZ some minutes. Its an 8 win team for crying out loud.

Back to back double-digit scoring games for the big fella, and 30 points and 12 rebounds combined in those games in about 44 minutes total.

He's gonna get super glued back to the bench as soon as Nance comes back right? Lol.

Unless Henson comes back first!
