things are going perfect. Lebron is going to be an allstar starter for the second year in a row. ilgauskas should make the allstar team as a back up to shaquille o'neal. hughes would've made the allstar team if not for his untimely injury. it's too bad that he seems to get an untimely injury or two every season. jones and marshall are probably two of the leading candidates for sixth man of the year. mike brown will probably win coach of the year in a landslide. danny ferry will be the executor of the year.

lebron is going to finish in the top five in scoring.

the cav's will break their string of seven consecutive seasons without making the playoffs. we should be a fourth seed in the playoffs and have home field advantage in the nba playoffs. i don't even care if we only win one series before miami or detroit or new jersey cleans out our clock - we will be a playoff team and only sixteen nba teams can say that each season. i'd rather be in the playoffs than in the draft lottery because anyone can buy lottery tickets and they are a wasted time.

if we win two or more playoff games, our alltime number of playoff wins will be thirty-something. we are getting closer and closer to the celtics and lakers and less and less like the clippers and bobcats. we have a proud tradition. when it comes to winning championships the cav's have been as successful as any other cleveland franchise, so we might as well flaunt it.

both the lakers and new york knicks are having disappointing seasons so we should not have to endure an endlessly long string of false rumors that Lebron will be leaving for one of those cities because he can make more endorsement money there. i don't think that he cares about money. he has all the money he needs and has a tremendous group of advisors made up of friends from high school and that recording company. no one is going to tell him that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence when he's already on the greenest side of the fence and it is not in new york or los angeles california.

no one can talk smack at us.

In amoungst all your sarcasm, I have to disagree that Hughes was an allstar candidate with or without injury and Marshall and Jones are off the pace for 6th man honours. Marshall though with a strong 2nd half of the season is a possibility.

I believe the Cavs securing the 4th seed and advancing to the 2nd round against the Pistons, will be seen as a successful season and springboard to further and deeper success.

I totally agree with Karma.... If we get out of the first round then maybe win 1 or 2 against Detroit then this season will completely be a huge success.....Im not sure if the cavs mop up all of the offseason awards like you predicted but none the less we are having a positive year

I actually believe we can give Detroit a run for their money. We just play superb against them. I don't recall the Cavs getting their butts kicked against The Pistons. We have always held our own.

the thing is, the playoffs is a completely different game.

I'm not sure what to make of this thread.

Anyway, we've been winning games so people are happy. I'll be at the Q tomorrow for #6.

If we meed the Pistons in the second round, I am pretty confident.

Fourth seed is not a given, though we are playing well at the moment, and should get better when Larry returns. I think Milwaukee will give us a run for the money, and you could yet see a trade in Philly or Chicago that would make a difference.

milwauke has over acheived so far. wait until the go out west and have to play the tough teams. they'll wilt like butter on a hot stove league. philly will keep losing as long as their shooting star is hurting. mo cheeks has no one under control on that team. chicago? bull! they'll trade for an expiring contract or a non-difference maker like al harrington when what they need is a heart problem free eddie curry.

milwauke finishes 45-37
philly finishes 43-39
chicago finishes 42-42

we finish 49-33, just like i said when we signed hughes instead of looser redd.

I have gotten sick and tired of this cliche, you still have to put the ball in the hoop. Both teams play harder defense so its really a wash. We have played the Pistons tough for years now, even when we sucked, so why dont you think we wont play well in the playoffs.

If the Pistons were playing like everygame was the playoffs would the be undefeated. No.

Because it's a different element. It's win or go home. We can lose 4 in a row now and be fine and go play 35+ games. You lose 4 in the playoffs your done. You can't have losing streaks or you're going home. Whole new ball game. you aren't playing Charlotte or Atlanta some nights it's the best 7 teams in your conference vs you.

No its that fact that some teams can turn it up a notch and other cant. Just because you cant lose 4 out of 7 doesnt mean the cavs cant play harder. It is physicaly possible for any team to do that.

Each time the Cavs or another good team plays, they play to win each game. Its not some switch because its "playoff time."

CDT is correct. The pistons play with unbelievable consistency that makes them so tough. They may slip up here and there, but they come back harder. We are not battle hardened, and slide when the confidense goes. The Pistons just seem to grow when something goes wrong. It is not beyond the Cavalier's to cause an upset, but it would certainly go against the grain

Double that. Playoffs are a different atmosphere. If you dont have players with experience, it can be difficult for players to react.

Players that can stop the long runs are the teams that win in the playoffs.

Yes to a degree, but i think it gets blown out of proportion.

This team currently has 6 players that have been to the playoffs, so its not as if this team consist of playoff virgins.

Maybe players will step up to the challenge. I guess only time will tell.
