I watched the stream of the Cavs training camp and thought I would share some of my observations:

1) Andy seems to be moving as if he has no lingering effects from his surgery. Obviously it's just a light practice, but it's still a positive sign.

2) Mo Williams looks slimmer than I've ever seen him. He said that he lost weight in order to prepare for the season.

3) David Blatt looked very comfortable out there. He delegated much of the responsibility of running the practice to the assistant coaches, who were also all impressive. He seems to have a good relationship with all the assistants and Tyrone Lue in particular. Blatt was pleased about the shape the players were in and how well they were running the drills for the first day of training camp.

4) LeBron just looked in ridiculously good shape: slimmer than at the end of last season, but still strong and quick. Even when it seemed he was only going at half speed, it was clear who the best athlete on the floor was. He also provided guidance to the younger players on some drills.

5) Kevin Love was limited and was not allowed to perform some of the drills. He looks alarmingly thin - like to the point that it's hard to imagine him banging with power forwards down low. I'm sure he will bulk up a little before the season though.

6) Maybe it's my Knicks fan bias coming through, but I was very impressed by JR Smith. Not only did he seem in good touch but he also took an active leadership role out there.

7) Kaun is one big dude. And the Cavs as a whole have to be one of the tallest teams in the NBA.

8) Mozgov looked out of shape. Blatt was caught saying that Mozgov looks like he was at 60%. And he looked it too, missing dunks and generally looking slower than usual. I'm sure he will get back to normal as his knee gets healthier.

9) Apparently the Cavs have technology that monitors the amount of exertion their players are expending. I remember Zach Lowe writing about this technology and how useful it could be in injury prevention. Blatt was monitoring these exertion levels in the practice.

10) Tristan Thompson was a no show although the media kept asking everyone about him.

Overall I was impressed by how smoothly and professionally the practice ran, which is a testament to both Blatt and your players. You guys are lucky to have a team like that representing your city.

...Is there a full video of the practice yet?

Not dismissing your opinions on love but from what I know about white guys ( I am one ) the more hair you've got the skinnier you look.

I think Love is anorexic.

its was live on facebook wasnt it?

Your analysis was great, dude. Much appreciated.

I really hope your team/franchise gets its shit together. The fans in New York deserve a good basketball team.
