It appears you've managed to post in the wrong thread. The name of this one is "To Tank or Not to Tank". For the record, I voted we tank.

Also, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking me. Andy isnt worthy... of what? An All-Star appearance? Sure. To be on this Cavs team? Overqualified, actually. Worthy of the praise and adulation this board heaps on him? Most definitely.

I'll tell you what else he's "worthy" of. A chance to win a ring. Odds are very good that wont happen here in Cleveland until he's well past his Charles Barkley-esque rebounding escapades. Therefore, not only would a trade greatly benefit the Cavs rebuild, but would also allow him to pursue a championship ring. A worthy pursuit for him, and one he'll definitely pursue once his team option expires in 2014.

Back on topic. Tank, tank and tank some more. Or we could endure a first round sweep at the hands of Miami or New York, watch our 1st rd pick land in the late teens, and add another embarrassing chapter to Cleveland's rich tradition of losing in the postseason. That would be all kinds of fun.

it was a response to one of your silly post about Andy not meriting to be mentioned in the same sentence of hall of famer or some other crass shit like that.

im glad your embarrassed you deserve to be. trading andy doesnt get the team closer to a championship.

Only thing I trade Andy for is Toronto's pick, PJ3, LAMB, and Perkins for AV and Gibson. I don't want to lose Andy, but it would be seet to him and Gibson contribute to a championship and beat the HEAT.

Let me clear this up for everyone, who thinks were the Cleveland Thunder.

Unless we sign a MAX contract this offseason, We WILL again be a lottery team next year.

I don't see how people can't see this. We have a Kyrie at PG who is already on his 4th injury in 2 years, a chucker of SG, a SF who would be on the bench of a playoff team, a PF who looks lost on the court, Andy who has been padding his stats the last 3 years playing on horrible teams and one of the worst benches in the NBA.

I disagree. I think that, given a good draft and decent health next year, we've got a shot at the playoffs. Just look at the past several games. We've gone toe-to-toe for 48 minutes with two of the best teams in the NBA, and we took a team that's not very good but still on paper better than us to a second overtime. Aside from the Phoenix game (where our guys obviously had dead legs), we're staying with teams we have no business staying with for entire games. The main thing this team lacks is experience, and winning comes with that. Young teams need to learn how to win, and that's something our guys, especially without Kyrie, haven't learned how to do yet.

And even if we are in the lottery one more year, is that really the worst thing in the world? This team is so much better and more fun to watch than our team last year, regardless of our current record. They play hard in pretty much every game and almost never get blown out. Sure, it leads to some gut-punch losses (like last night and also to Miami), but I'd much rather watch this team than last year's shitshow where Jamison and Parker both played big minutes. Our team is young and exciting, and despite a losing record we're competing night in and night out.

No, not at all. It's actually a GOOD thing. I just don't think the team with the current talent plus a rookie from next yr draft will make the playoffs. Esp if the eastern conference continues to get stronger.

You may be right, but I tend to look at how the team is playing rather than their record. To me, this team, even without Kyrie, seems very close to breaking through. We're losing a lot, but we're not losing badly. Yeah, our bench hasn't been great, but they have been much better lately, as Casspi has found his stroke and Zeller is coming out of his shell.

The thing is, crafting a bench is the easy part. If the Cavs can use their first pick this year to draft a starter, our bench automatically gets a little better by shifting Gee or Thompson into a sixth man role (preferably Gee). Plus, there are always veterans available for low prices to fill out our last few rotation spots, which will in turn make the team and the bench better. I'm fairly certain the main reason we didn't sign any of them this year is because, quite frankly, this team's goal is a top five pick. Also, if the team is able to draft a rotational guy with their second first-rounder, that makes our bench better as well.

I just honestly don't think we're as far off as a lot of people here are making us out to be. Our team has talent and play-makers. We just need more depth and experience.

Obviously trolling.

Kyrie's injures are far from serious. Dion isn't a chucker lolol. Gee guards the other team's best player; think Thabo. Tristan is in his 2nd year. Andy is great.

Benches aren't hard to fill.

I bit on Huber's troll. Shit.

Duh. Just sign Howard in the offseason.

Then we go to the finals.

No, then we experience the superstar, primadonna show all over again. Fuck Howard. He will never win shit. Especially if Andy goes to OKC. That move alone will end Kobe's hope of catching Michael and will probably cast Dwight out of town.

I'm really sorry to ask this Frank, but did you refill your sarcasm meter?

Even with Andy on this team, I don't think were ready. It'll take most of the season for those young guys to understand the importance of winning clutch situations, which is what the whole NBA playoffs is about.

And even if we do get there, we literally only have seven-eight players that are halfway decent. Rather than a tank or no tank, let the situation play out naturally.

We'll all get a much better feeling at the beginning of the year in 2014 or 2015.

I was being sarcastic.

I don't want Howard's whiny ass here.

Sorry, but if Howard decides he wants to come here, we'd be stupid to turn him down. Whiny bitch he may be, but he's still one of the better players in the entire league and, if a guy like that wants to come to Cleveland, we don't tell him to fuck off.
