Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that the Atlanta Hawks , Portland Trailblazers, and Washington Wizards are discussing a multi-player trade.

The rumored deal would have the Blazers sending Jamaal Magloire to the Wizards who would send Brendan Haywood and Jarvis Hayes to the Hawks while they send Lorenzon Wright, Salim Stoudemire, and Esteban Batista to the Blazers.

Karma's Comments : Washington get even tougher.

********************************

Bobcats big man Melvin Ely left practice with a right calf strain, although it seems likely he'd be able to play against the Pistons. Ely confirmed Monday that he's asked the Bobcats for a trade, since he's played so little this season.

Ely said he requested the trade before a recent home game against the Los Angeles Lakers . Ely said there are no hard feelings between him and team management.

"If I become a jerk, then Bernie becomes a jerk,'' Ely said of retaining a good attitude. "I've been in this league long enough to know if you're a jerk to the coach, you always lose.''

Karma's Comments : Would you trade Gooden for Ely ansd Knight? Just a thought that popped into my head. I'll probably hate it in a few minutes.

Eh, I'd probably pass. Knight is out at least until the end of January (probably longer). Ely is decent role player off the bench but the the Cavaliers are playing stellar and Gooden looks like a world beater right now.

Ask me again at the end of this road trip and closer the the trade deadline.

Did forget that Knight was hurt. Anyways just thinking aloud, without too much thought.
