Trent Richardson TRADED

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I had such high hopes.. Was so wrong.

A lot of us were. Part of it has to be mental.

He looked pretty good at times his rookie year. Ever since he's been a disaster.

The rule of thumb in the NFL the past 6-7 seasons is you don't take a RB in the 1st round let alone in the top 5 unless they are Adrian Peterson. He was billed as the next AP. Sonofabitch

And AD didn't even go top 5...

Greg Bedard AND Phil Savage?

Well, I don't see how they can possibly be wrong.

Some people believe in swagger and moxie as attributes in the NFL, it's those types who believe Manziel can make it.

I'm hopeful the Browns aren't those people. But needless to say if you're letting Manziels performance against Alabama formulate the majority of your opinion then it's pretty safe to say the talent evaluation game passed him by.

The back foot lob over man coverage only takes you so far, regardless of the moxie level.

These were the good ol days, right @Noonan?

what i still dont understand is how he was ever compared to AD. as an oklahoma fan i watched as many oklahoma games as i could, and as the game went on you could just see peterson was a man amongst children. He earned his nickname "all day" for a reason. You could just watch clips of richardson, and you never saw the same just absolutely pure athleticism that peterson possess. Then to know that peterson went 7th, why would anyone, anywhere think trent should have gone in the top 10 is beyond me. You already knew peterson was a generational talent, and he couldnt go top 5, why did richardson go top 3?

Believe it or not, Jim Brown was actually wrong about him when he said he was an average back shortly after the 2012 draft. He's actually much worse than an average back.

Since the AFL-NFL Merger in 1966, 344 RBs have 500+ career carries. Richardson has the 2nd worst Yards Per Carry of all of them..

Interesting Kelly is number 8. Hall of fame, 6 time pro bowl, and former mvp.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but to be fair the difference in talent between the two drafts has been monumental to this point. 2007 was loaded with talent and in 2012 if you weren't the dumb lucky Colts you had the wrong year to be picking in the top 10. The Dolphins and Panthers (who most thought were reaching) ended up being the only ones to make out in the top 10 (again not counting the luckiest franchise in the NFL)

They took his after 66 career, he averaged 4.2 for his career, doesn't belong on the list.
