Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wtf Tristan only played 23 minutes!
While Earl played 28 minutes.

Nice rotation.

Mike fucking Brown. No reason a fragile Andy should ever play more minutes than Tristan.

Considering Andy didn't play a single minute at power forward tonight, you're looking at this the wrong way. Tristan's minutes went to Clark down the stretch, not Varejao.

Tristan needs more minutes and they should actually run some plays for him. This offense is way to guard oriented if Bynum isn't in the game. He's been able to score this year

Thompson's minutes the last three games:

23
24
32 (in the OT game)

Clark's minutes:

28
29
33 (OT)

You find the issue.

I am stunned at Mike Brown's seeming indifference towards TT.

If ever there was a guy you thought was cut out of central casting to be a Mike Brown guy that he would ride like a horse it is TT.

Yet his minutes aren't what they should be, and he is left on the bench for long stretches almost nightly anymore.

What is going on?

What is going on is Mike Brown sucks balls.

MB rode AV too much. The beauty of having TT is that he can slide to the 5 and play spot minutes there. AV's minutes should be cut, imo. As bad as Clark is, we need his outside shot to space the floor.

So, you're Tristan Thompson. You were playing really well for the minutes you were in the game. Hustling, out-playing Anthony Davis, playing efficiently. Everything you're supposed to do.

And, yet again, you watch Earl Clark, he of little effort and no rebounds, play more minutes at your position. What exactly do you start thinking of your coach? He's not awarding his hustle. His not awarding his good play. He's instead giving it to a guy who generally does not hustle and for the most part, brings one thing to the game, length.

I can understand riding the hot hand.

Hitting a couple of uncontested 3s doesn't give you the hot hand. Especially when defense and rebounding were all the team needed to seal the deal.

This is the funny thing. Thompson was 6-9. But Mike had no trouble pulling him to make his scheduled substitutions. Which I'm ok with. But then Clark hits a 3 and suddenly he is apparently hot enough to not pull when substitution time comes up again. Like, I honestly have no idea what flows through this man's head when it comes to substitutions. It seems like its just made up on the fly.

Clark's extended minutes is an indictment of Thompson. He hasn't brought it like you'd expect from a top 4 pick in what should of been his break out year.

This post was made from under a bridge.

He outworked and outplayed Anthony Davis, who, by the way, is a #1 pick in the middle of a break out year.
