Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would just simply ask if they suck dick, but clearly you have anterior motives.

If I understand anatomy right, it would mean that he might have posterior motives? or perhaps he wanted to see if the Canadian in question had anterior motives....

Hasn't really been trending down...he's actually averaging 13 ppg on 49% shooting for the last 6 games, which is pretty decent. Everyone's taking some time to adjust this season, and like a lot of our other players he seems like he's headed in the right direction. I'm not too concerned.

Agree that it hasn't been trending down this year, but with apologies to all the statistics experts who will toss out sample size and other nuances, it does appear to be consistently flat this year (showing no trend of improvement on the season so far):

Fair enough! Thanks for going through the trouble.

You cant be soft in there, looking for fouls and shit.

Learn to go up strong.

And on the Chalmers corner 3, Tristan should have switched as Kyrie was on LeBron's right side and Kyrie signaled for Tristan to switch over in quite enough time for him to get there.

Tristan was too busy fondling LeBron's nuts, trying to pick him up full court so he can text him about it later. Play the game and stop being such a fucking fan.

In a vacuum, Thompson is a pretty good player. However, the way he neutralizes Bynum's effect is very hurtful to the team as a whole. For that matter, Alonzo Gee even neutralizes Bynum's effect. Poor Bynum has both Gee and TT's defenders getting right up on him because they aren't respected on offense. TT needs to be moved to the bench. Earl Clark would even help Bynum out some.

Tristan and Gee is a terrible forward pairing. It was a fun game tonight but I wish we could start games with a bit more firepower than that.

Teams have adjusted to Bynum's good 4-5 game stretch by just leaving Thompson and daring him to hurt them from midrange, and he's not able to.

Bynum hasnt been able to back down a defender in the last 2-3 games because Tristan is always on the court not needing to be guarded.

Time to make a switch and reestablish Bynum in the half court. He's playing every game and is so skilled that its a waste not to feed him in the limited minutes you play him. They played BOSH AND BATTIER at the 4 and 5. If that isnt calling for the team to spread and let Bynum work, I dont know what is. Would have had their only bigs in foul trouble.

Time to make that move. Clark or Bennett, preferably Bennett.

I'm just not seeing that natural flow to Tristan's game. I'm not sure it will ever be there. Very robotic type player. He has the potential to be a wonderful 3rd big but he will want to be paid like a starter. Those type of contracts usually aren't good ones.

For how awful so many of you seem to think Tristan is, it seemed to me that he was the spark that got the momentum back on our side after halftime.

And the "stop being such a fucking fan" comment is pretty bullshit IMO.

I would have preferred Kyrie dart to the corner to recover and thus get everybody back onto their original man. If Chalmers tries to go through the back door, you have help waiting.

You want Kyrie to guard an isolating LeBron twice down the stretch? He lucked out once because LeBron bricked a jumper, he wasn't going to launch another bomb in that situation. We've seen that before. Sure, Chalmers made it, but you don't leave Kyrie on an island against LeBron. It was a perfect opportunity to recover because the Heat were hellbent on making unnecessary passes in the second half, which allowed the Cavs to recover constantly through their defensive rotations. That play wasn't all that different.

Tristan was tasked with guarding LeBron at the end of the game. "Stop being such a fucking fan" is a TERRIBLE way to view that. I'll chuck it up to a heat of the moment thing. I avoided coming on here last night because I would have been here way too long. Tristan was making him work and taxing LeBron physically on every single possession.

I agree that last night his mid range game was tested and he failed miserably. That said, he got like 3-4 straight buckets in the third quarter to spark the Cavs and keep them in the game. He's the emotional anchor on this team and he needs to be starting as a result. His effort is invaluable at the moment. He is the leader, even though that's not acknowledged publicly.

Overall, it was a great effort against the defending champs on their home court. If the Cavs play like this every night, they'll win more than they lose. That's what this is all about, right?

Dogging Tristan is Ludicrous. He has proved tons of people wrong already, and he is very likely to develop a consistent jumper. Sorry it didn't come the first year after he switched hands. I was prepared for a huge drop in play from him due to the hand switch, but there is no doubt he is a better player now averaging a double double. His efficiency will go up. He has been taking the open jumper a little more. No doubt it needs to go up quicker and without hesitation. It'll come. I definitely see getting down the entry passes as a more pressing concern.

Let's pump the brakes on the "very likely"

It's a tremendous accomplishment that he's developed a jumper that actually has a chance to go into the basket from time to time.

I agree with this. I'm hopeful it will come, and wouldn't bet against Tristan, but I'm not going to claim it as very likely yet.
