Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So was the 5 assists tonight a career high for Tristan?

I know it matched almost his entire assist total for the 1st half of his rookie year.

Ties a career high, he's gotten 5 twice before. Overall another good game for TT, he's been playing really well lately.

Last 8 games (6 double-doubles) 14.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, (1.5 turnovers) 56% FG, 71% FT

i like tt and think he's a good player

i am worried about the kind of $$$ he is going to want

i think his ceiling is a really good first big off the bench

he has a high motor, rebounds well, he plays more of a center's game on offense

he can guard both positions competently and play both front court positions in a small ball lineup

i just dont think the dude can be our starter of the future

i really think we need floor spacing and shooting at the 4...i believe this is bennett's future role

I think he would already be a great first big off the bench, so to me his ceiling is higher than that. If can get that shot to start falling then he'll be a legit stater.

I mean every game it seems like he gets a double double. That not something to ignore

looks like a group of suburban high school kids won a contest to hang out with an NBA team for a night

What a bunch of goons. Sergey is wearing an undershirt, Jarret Jack probably took more time to get dressed than the rest of the team combined, and Anthony Bennett could barely be bothered to smile for the picture in between bites of food.

and luol deng is sporting the kind of gold watch someone gets from his job as a retirement gift, which is pretty fitting.

Pretty sure that's Tristan. If Luol can do that with his arm maybe we know why he can't shoot anymore.

that just made my day lol

hopefully with a big win against a contender in OKC, that we can get momentum and win some of the big games in March.

Pretty much what I think too, it would take a remarkable improvement in his jump shot. He needs to spend the offseason in the gym putting up hundreds of jumpers so he can get to the point where when he is open, he doesn't hesitate or dribble into the defender in an attempt to get in a range he is comfortable with. That is the key to his offensive efficiency and fit within any team, at least as a starter. We can't be passing on centers because they're not a good fit next to Tristan.(i.e. neither has range)

What maddens me is he can't seem to go up strong down low in traffic, nor does he seem to get foul calls.

He always puts the ball on the ground and/or takes forever to gather himself. He can't do things in rhythm, there always seem to be an awkward, unneeded step or hesitation.

Hope he grows out of it or that I'm blowing my impression completely out of proportion.
