Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Andy's game- hustle, rebounding, could give you 14 and some good defense but getting old and every time he falls he could be dead.

Tts game- hustle, rebounding. Could give you 14 and need to improve on D, but is only 22.

Why would we rather have Andy for the future then TT?
I love TT, not because he's nice, but because his floor In 5 years is Andy's game now.

We learned in physc that it takes 5000-10000 hours of practice until you master a skill. So let's give his new shooting hand some time

bad game aside. Tristans efficiency from outside has gone down. thats because teams are somewhat honoring his jump shot and is a big reason why his efficiency within 8 feet has improved.

Bad game where he didn't draw a single foul and the replays showed he was fouled. *Shrugs*

He has been ballin lately. I guess its time to trade Kyrie again too with a bad game against the Spurs? You know who else has bad games against the Spurs? The Heat do.

That was a fundamentally dominant team doing what it does and paying close attention to scouting reports. The Spurs are just the best executing team in the NBA that's all.

Yea but TT didn't just have a bad game. He played the same way he always has. He continued to pass up open jumpers, go up with no explosion and get blocked, bobble passes, late rotations. All of those are things he consistently does when he has a so called good game.

I wonder what happened to TT's explosiveness? I remember reading from one of the insiders on this board how explosive TT was in practice during his rookie year. Supposedly he was almost Larry Nance- like with the way he could quickly jump off the floor. In game situations, can't seem to remember seeing any type of explosiveness from TT to get up and block/alter shots or even get his own shot off without being blocked once or twice a game.

I think most of us that criticize Tristan feel he does some things well and he does to a point. The problem with Tristan is that he's a regular season stud but a stick in the mud when he's tested by a good player or system.

I also agree with you about a couple of those put backs where he was fouled and they weren't called however that brings me to my next point. His finishing technique is one of the worst in the league if not the worst. I have never seen a man of his size and power get rejected so many times in my life. It is literally a 2-3 time thing in every single game. He has 0 explosive ability if he doesn't have a couple steps first. He should be flushing one home instead of getting fouled half the time. It's one of the more infuriating aspects when watching this team.

The rest has been covered pretty well in here but the main point is that you can enjoy his game during the regular season but when he's tested he falls flat almost every time. He was also beasted in the Memphis game although by the box score you'd think he had a pretty good game.

That seems to be a problem with most of our guys on this team. Everyone has their strengths but almost all of them have a glaring weaknesses that loses games. I think Tristan could get much better but it's not guaranteed he actually does.

Awesome, I didn't realize Tristan was shooting 63.5% on shots that weren't blocked. That's pretty good.

Stoudemire eating Thompson for lunch. I'm tired of watching this stiff. Worst draft pick in the last 5 years. He's a #8 or 9 rotation player at best on a good NBA team.

:chuckles:

yep TT lost the game for us the rest of the team was really great, except KI and Hawes, what a bad draft pick worst PF in the 2011 draft

I love TT as much as anybody, but in no way do I think we should offer him an extension. Well at least for the money he is likely to command.
