Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I agree. TT looks like a great player for the type of player he is. He's a rich man's garbage man by nature, but he's also been a lot better at using his pivot and has immensely improved his ugly shot. It might not be all-star material and isn't really a 4th pick overall caliber player, but he's certainly a good fit for the Cavs this season.

Lol, someone needs to photoshop TT wearing one of his flamboyant shirts and add that line "Rich Man's Garbage Man"

It should read (after this season) Rich's garbage man, now a rich garbage man.

TT has the most explosive play of his career on that in bounds play and we have 4 pages talking about an inside joke?

Come on people, we are better than this.
i stayed after class to catch the last 2 minutes of the game.. i had an outburst in office hours when that shit happened. I caught the most important parts of the night me thinkgs

He looks a lot better in the pre-season compared to last season. Several explosive plays and he's taking the jump-shot without any hesitation.

Let's hope he brings it to the regular season.

Correction, he can't finish consistently THIS GAME. If you have watched every game of his career, like you just said, you should have been watching how well he looked every other game this preseason. Added a little hook he has used with both hands, looks better rolling off screens, looks better at finding the open spot in the lane when a perimeter player penetrates, has made 3 jumpers that looked very good, including an and-1 jumper, and has finished with pogo sticks around the remain at a frequent pace. You are overreacting because this is the 1st game I've seen where he has struggled around the rim.

Ok can anybody be critical of any player on this team? The same way your're defending TT now is exactly what people were doing earlier last season. Then as the season progressed he kept reverting back to those bad habits under the rim that I've seen in every game this pre season. I've seen him hit a few jump shots but I've also seen him hesitate to pull that J and he's had bad footwork on a few of them. Look he's not a finished product on offense and I get that bigs take longer to develop but we shouldn't be expecting him to do too much on offense anyway now that we have Love/Marion. Maybe he should take it a bit slower.

I'd like to see him hit 15 footers one day, but right now he still has a hard time getting his shots up at the rim. I would like to see him develop his game around the rim before he starts stepping out to 15 feet. It's not a necessity for him to have a knockdown J right now. He should be spending more time banging. We know most of his minutes this season are going to be at the 5 and playing backup at the 4. With the players we have now he should keep his game in that paint area.

Posted in the game thread, thanks for the GIF #21.

Did everyone see that? Blatant moving screen!!!

Looking like he's done for the preseason. 83.3% from the free throw line (20/24). Crazy that he was left handed a little over a year ago.
Not only is he shooting 83%, that's not exactly a tiny sample size. 24 free throws over seven games should be a reasonable pattern predictor.

The craziest part of the whole thing is that they LOOK like they are gonna go in. As in, not a typical Tristan "slingshot and hope" stroke. Like, I don't even really worry about him at the line at this particular moment in time.

Don't know how to react. Haha.

Tristan's jumper also looks a lot smoother. I think we will be seeing the occasional jumper from Tristan this season. Maybe like one every other game or so. And he even looks like he is more athletic and stronger than he ever has been. I'm starting to think that Tristan is going to be a great 3rd big for this team potentially worthy of 10m a year. He might fill in that same role that Odom played with the Lakers where he is that big man that doesn't allow the other team to take a break from having a good big man on the floor (obviously their games are different).

Is Thompson gonna be as quik as he was when he planted that brotherly kiss on Alli?:chuckle:
