Just like boxing the view at one of these events are horrible, there is a damn fence around the cage. I did hear that the rush you get knowing that these to big guys are going to knock each other out gets you quite a rush.

KIMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS ALL GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang, I wonder what happened to Vera. I thought he was going to be the next big thing.

Ive only been to a few Pro boxing and and some local MMA fights and even at them you are right.....The view isn't nearly as good as seeing it on television but being at a live event is pretty intense. I think i am one of the few old school fight fans anymore that still actually likes the sweet science more than MMA. I love them both but Boxing was my first true love. This will be my first live UFC event so I'm pretty stoked. A few of my friends went last year though and said it was incredible live. We got a few rooms reserved down in columbus (reserved them months ago due to the Arnold Classic) so it will be a good time.

I am also going to the Pavlik/Rubio fight Feb.21st in Youngstown with my Dad.

"Dang, I wonder what happened to Vera. I thought he was going to be the next big thing."

I did too. He's got some pretty good jits for a big dude and a solid wrestling background so i assummed he would have a quick road to the top as well but with back-to-back losses to Sylvia and Werdum forced him in a new direction at LHW and then a split decision loss to "Mean" Jardine set him back again. Patt is a solid opponent but if Vera doesn't stop him Via submission or TKO, He's as good as gone from the UFC.

I'm really looking forward to the Hazelett/Saunders fight. Hazelett's a beast from Cincy. One of the best youngsters in the UFC IMO and Saunders is Undefeated in the UFC at 3-0.

Im in for sure!!!

I'm a big fan of UFC, but those ticket prices are out of my price range being a student.

Yeah. Probably just have some friends over and split up the $50 ppv charge.

The cost of the event is fairly expensive but also understandable. These athletes are NOT overpaid compared to any other major sport. Also, The UFC does not have the same television deals or endorsements either. I would'nt typically shell out that type of money for an evening of entertainment either but I feel this is a pretty unique opportunity. The UFC does not come around too often and I'm not in the position in life that i can "just fly to Vegas for the weekend to catch a fight" either. lol- It would be nice though. Typically, My friends and I just go in on the PPV's as well at one of our houses.
In any regard, I'm looking forward to the event.

*Bump* for updated fight card...

Looks to be a solid night of fights. I know there isn't any major title fights but some intriguing matchups nonetheless.
