I was wondering if someone here is attending the university of cincinnati and if they could tell me a little about it and what the minimum requirements are to gain admission?

A pulse :chuckles:

Pretty easy to get in. I attend OSU but I was planning on going to UC if I didn't get in here. I had a 24 on my ACT and a 3.5 GPA and got into UC's engineering program. I had a friend who applied and got in with a 3.2 GPA and a 21 on her ACT. Actually, I forgot, my sister just got into UC and she has a 3.0 and got a 19 on her ACT.

im tryin to get into UC with 2.8 and 19 on ACT bout to send in my app

I know this won't be helpful, but to go to Cinci you have to think that Cinci is the best thing since sliced bread and spread rumors around about other schools, mostly OSU, and bash every other Ohio school at any other opportunity.

There are three schools I would never go to even if offered a scholarship. Cinci, Akron and Ohio U.

I'm almost positive you'll get accepted with that. Cincinatti isn't that bad of a school CrazedCav. They have one of the top engineering school in the nation out of all public schools and have one of the best internship and co-op programs as well. Also, they are putting millions of dollars into that campus every year to update it and from a few visits to friends this year, what I have seen look great

I should, my essay is really good i think

I never said they weren't a bad school academically. I just despise many of the people who go there and the way they carry themselves. That's just my opinion, one person.

I will say this though - while me and my dad were driving down for the Final Four two years ago, we drove up on Cinci at night and the city was absolutely beautiful...so the landscape is nice. I've heard some stories about the campus though, not pretty. But that may have changed.

UC Website said:
Personal Statement: Describe how your academic achievements, personal interests and life experiences have helped prepare you to succeed academically and to be an active member of the UC community. (Please limit your response to approximately 250 words.)

I could care less about the students since I am a purdue alumni, but I have to agree, Cincinatti is a great city, beautiful midwest town. Remove the browns/bengals rivalry from hating cincinatti people, and its a great place to live. Nicest major city probably in Ohio, ofcourse thats like coming in first at the special olympics, but still its a pretty nice town. :chuckles:

I just graduated from UC in august, and will be attending commencement on Dec. 13th. It depends on what you're planning to study once you get in but with a 2.8 and a 19 on the SAT should be just fine. Look on their website at their curriculum for whatever your planned major is and it will list the requirements for enrollment. If you don't meet the requirements for your major you can enroll in UC's Arts and Sciences department to get your GPA up and then enroll in whatever department you wish. Hope this helps, if not just send me a message and I'll try and help you further.
