If Meyer does take the job, I would bet he wins a national title within 3 years. There's already an immense amount of young talent on the OSU squad and with two or three recruiting cycles under Meyer, I'm sure the level of talent would be mind-blowing.

Also the 2013 Ohio class is one of the best in recent memory.

No doubt about that. The big fish is Jalin Marshall and that kid would be potent in an Urban Meyer offense.

I hope like hell we get him, I think he takes OSU from the dumpster and we're immediate favorites the next few years. The guy is a great recruiter but an even better coach. Really gets the most out of his players.

I'm in the Meyer boat. The school needs a high profile coach to get back on top quick. Meyer would be an excellent followup to Tressel.

I'm listening to RBS and I'm just flabbergasted that Rizzo is reporting the "Meyer to Penn State" rumor as if it's something brand new that he's breaking. Wasn't this news a week ago? Any merit to it?

I'm listening to RBS and I'm just flabbergasted that Rizzo is reporting the "Meyer to Penn State" rumor as if it's something brand new that he's breaking. Wasn't this news a week ago? Any merit to it?

I think (may be wrong) that his daughter is going to Penn St to play volleyball (one of the top programs in the country) and that led to everyone pulling out their 'jump to conclusions' pad and figuring it was because Urban was going to take the job there. Assuming sanctions aren't too bad, I don't see him going anywhere but OSU.

On a side note, he is spectacular calling games. He knows exactly what coaches are thinking and articulates it in a very easy to understand way. Really enjoy listening to him.

Both his daughters are already in college. One plays volleyball at Georgia Tech and the other one plays at Florida Gulf Coast.

Also, totally agree with you on Meyer's broadcasting ability. He and Spielman make a great team. I also enjoy the segment Meyer does during College GameDay. Guy just provides a ton of insight.

Meyer is the my 1st choice. We need someone that can recruit and coach. The longer Fickell is here, the more we are going to miss out on top recruits. Fickell has absolutely ZERO charisma. If I was a top high school prospect there would be no way I play for OSU with him coaching.

Not that I want to keep Fickell but it can be hard to recruit when no one thinks you are going to be around next year.

Fickell was probably the best recruiter on Tressel's staff (other than the Vest himself). Also, Ohio State is likely going to secure a commitment from the best player in Ohio (Adolphus Washington) in a couple weeks. He may not have a ton of charisma in interviews or on the sideline, but we don't know what goes on in the home of a recruit.
