Urban Meyer hired by OSU

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would think Urban is going to focus his efforts solely on Diggs for the next 9 days. Diggs is the superior player and has more potential than any other receiver on the roster right now. Neal is good, but I think his ability isn't at Diggs' level. I agree it's a little bizarre, but I'll trust the staff on this one. They know exactly what they're doing. If the risk doesn't pay off and Diggs goes elsewhere, it's just another scholly we can bank for next year's deep class.

OSU has to like their odds with Diggs, worst case scenario is they have Jalin Marshall coming in in 2013.

This

They also have offers out to some elite OOS receivers for next year in Robert Foster, Uriah LeMay, and Ahmad Fulwood to name a few.

I hear you guys - it just seems like a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush to me.

I understand Diggs is the better prospect, but you can't tell me we're not gonna have another guy transfer or quit and get us another scholarship. We don't have to worry about 82 until fall.

Why risk looking like a douche if someone doesn't, though? After all the gospel Meyer has preached he is probably being very careful about how he runs things.

Understand when I said "another guy" I really meant "multiple other guys". There is always atrophy and turnover when there is a major shakeup with the coaching staff.

It's most assuredly not a scholarship issue - hence the holding out for Diggs argument doesn't make much sense.

There has to be something that happened with Davonte in the last few days that caused us to move on. If that's the case, I'm ok with it - I just want to know what it is.

This could absolutely be a numbers issue, nobody has more intel as to the pulse of attrition like the staff.

If Diggs says no, Neal's spot would open back up. That would certainly be my guess, only room for one.

Please. Neal is not the kind of recruit to sit around waiting for a school that rejected him - he has plenty of other options.

I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on the scholarship numbers being an issue...they weren't an issue two days ago, but yesterday it suddenly became one? Neither Dodson or Marcus were a true surprise commit...

Scout.com board talking about how Neal's father wanted money for the LOI. If it is the case, I hope they kicked his ass back to Arizona.

Now THIS is something that makes sense...

Also explains why he denies any knowledge of OSU backing off.

...And why everyone is so hush-hush about the reason the offer was retracted

...And why we recruited him for months only to pull out on Signing Day

RT @Matt_HayesSN: Just filed: Wisky coach Bret Beilema says AD Barry Alvarez will speak to Jim Delany about Meyer's recruiting tactics.
:fu:

Jesus Christ Bret Bielema is such a scumbag.

He can continue to show that he's a classless piece of shit by running up the score on d2 teams and when he finally encounters a coach with balls he runs to Delany. Fucking prick.

What are the "tactics" Bielema is talking about?
