USA 400m Relay Swimmers just whipped the heavy favs France

I just yelled so loud, and my wife came down to see what was going on, and when she found out I was celebrating the swim team, she told me my man card was revoked. LOL

I cant believe the US just upset France in teh 400m relay just now.

For anybody who has been watching the Olympics, the French relay team was talking mad shit about how they just wanted to whoop the US and blah blah blah, and they were definitely the favorites, and they had us beat going into the last half of the fourth leg of the relay, and out of nowhere the Anchor for the US, made up a crazy deficit to just barely beat the french at the wall!

That race was crazy, it was well worth watching and I know wbsolutely nothing about swimming

I was screaming too. I thought we were gonna get 2nd, and the last couple yards, dude just gave the performance of his life.

And the look on the French teams faces afterwards is priceless.

like u rchfld, what i know about competitive swimming could fit into a bottle cap, but when i seen the americans closing in on that last stretch..... pretty f'in exhilarating.

Trust me, your man card will not be revoked for cheering for that. My wife and I were both screaming down the final stretch last night. One of the best Olympic moments that I can remember. The way he closed the gap on that final lap was incredible.

this was BY FAR the most exciting thing that I have watched in the Olympics this year. I watch Phelps races just because I want to see if he will end up breaking the record for most medals in a single Olympics, but I never thought that I would get into swimming like I did last night watching that event.

Wish I had stayed up to watch it, but it was still really exciting watch the video, even though I knew what happened. I agree that the looks on the faces of the French team were pretty priceless. The anchor swimmer for the U.S (Lezak) just wanted it more.

That country has more disdain for us than I can understand. That we bailed those pathetic assholes out in WWII seems to have been just completely lost on the last two generations of French. Those idiots should have a national holiday named after us.

They're a bunch of sissies...they've spent most of history resting on the laurels of pretty architecture and good cheese. What a joke.

This is one thing I love about the Olympics is the chance to shove the hatred other countries have of us down their throats.

Sarkozy is admittedly somewhat cool but up to and during his election year the frogs gave him a lot of flak for supporting us. That still continues.

I'm not opposed to a stronger bond between the U.S. and France but the people over there frustrate me as much or more than we frustrate them.
