Hold up!

No, I am not talking about him cheating. I am talking about him being really tricky and smart when he is on the floor.

Like, when sometimes he gets in the lanes and draws the charge call (What he did to Redd at the end of the game and other players). All like at last nights game, I beleive it was Bogut (don't know the name and I wasn't watching too much) that just raised his hands and AV fell backwards like Bogut really fouled him.

My point being, is that he is turning out to be a really smart player. He is turning out to be the player that belongs out there in the 4th quarter when it is time to lock down.

I am becoming even more impressed by him the more I see him play.

Anybody alse notice this?

I've noticed this last year. He is always willing to give up his body to get a foul called. He is very smart and I think he has a great basketball IQ. You don't see too many big men taking 3 charges a game like A.V. did last night. He's one of my favorite players and I think he has a great future here in Cleveland. The fans love him.

Yes - he is dirtily smart (is that a phrase?). Him and Sasha have a tendency to get under the opponents skin - and I love that. Off the topic, it actually seems to raise Sasha's game when he is pissed...

Regarding AV, he will be a player Brown grows to love, if not already. He seems to be a bit more controlled this year, probably because he is not fully comfortable within the system yet. Once he gets there, he will become a commodity that compliments LeBron perfectly - our own Ben Wallace.

totally agree, he puts his body on the line no matterwho is coming into the lane...just hope his thin frame can take it for a little while longer until he gets bigger

Gotta love that effort, but at times, he flops. And he needs to not do that, because if he gets that reputation it will hurt him in the long run. Much like it did to Divac a couple years back when he flopped on Shaq alot, eventually just stopped calling it.

I hope A.V. can put on around 10-15 lbs of muscle this offseason. He'll be an even bigger monster on the boards if he can do that.

He doesnt really need to add that much more weight. He isn't a bruiser. He plays solid at his weight, he just needs to get stronger and just get more playing time. The more he plays the better he will be.

IMO I believe that it is ALMOST (read almost meaning not quite yet but soon) time to start thinking about life with AV in the starting lineup....if we do trade Drew or let him walk in the summer I am thinking that the person to step in and start paying 30 mins for us is AV...im not sure how it would play out but lately i have been thinking about it...and please no one jump on me because im just saying to think about it thats all

could AV be a scorer in the future or just a bloke that is going to be like a joe smith and rebound..will he ave 10-12 a game and grab 8 boards?? or is he destined for greater heights????

Andy is our best energy player. He can change the tempo of the game with his hustle. He can rattle to opposition, and get in their heads. He plays fearless out there. I wouldnt say hes 'dirty', like takin cheap shots and stuff. He just plays hard and physical, which we need.

If he could ever find his offensive game, he'd be awesome. He's great around the hoop tho.

I also dont want him to become a flopper. Every now and then its OK if you get the ball back in a tight game. But he doesnt need that rep of a 'flopper' on him. I generally dont like floppers. Flopping is for the weak, if you need to rely on acting to win, your game isnt that strong.

I think A.V. is just missing one piece and he can be a starter. If he had a decent jump hook and any kind of moves down low that he could be a starter. I'm sure that is something he will be working on.

Ya, I wouldn't mind AV as a starter. Sure, he might not be as productive on O as Gooden, but he is better on D. Kinda like Ben Wallace. No O, or inconsistant, but good on D!

AV a starter?? is he really better then Z? gooden? were would he start? his shooging been great as of late and would love to see him keep playing alot of mintues like he is now but not as a starter, i would like for us to trade marshall who sucks ass and get something for him like a PG or something...

He would start at PF. No ofcourse he's not better than Z... I don't know why you even said that. But better than Gooden... right now No. But he already has a better knowledge of the game and better D. I think with time who knows. He could be a better player than Gooden.

We wouldn't get anything in return for Donyell. He's aging and no team wants to give up a young PG for an old combo forward who doesn't bring much besides streaky 3 pt scoring and decent rebounding.
