The standing ovation that LeBron got at Utah really made me realize how lucky we are.

Even though we critisize every mistake he makes, he comes back and makes us realize how special of a player he is.

I have done my share of critisizing, and I admit that I was starting to take everything LeBron does for granted.

Not every team gets to see a player like LeBron perform on a day to day basis. Not every team gets to watch a young superstar grow to become one of the best to ever play.

It amazes me that even though Utah got their butts kicked, they all appreciated the show that LeBron put on for them. And we get to see that every night.

:)

It's not a crime to criticize a player. Lebron has ways to improve. But you're right, Glen, in that we should be thankful for what we have. EVERY other team in the NBA would kill to have Lebron. Basically, we should criticize with an appreciative mindset and an eye to the future.

Couldn't have put it any better myself. He is amazing, but nobody is immune to criticism. But, I am always slow to criticize that kid for anthing that he does on the floor.

We take what he does for granted alot of the times. It makes you think. We play a team and someone for them goes off for 25 points and we're like, "He's killing us. He's scoring everytime down the floor." How do other teams' fans feel when LeBron is dropping 30+ on them just about every night?

It was well known that Lebron was very down after the first few games on this trip, nothing better for his "mojo" then to be given a standing ovation by the good Mormons of Salt Lake.

After his poor performance in Golden State, one had to wonder how effected he had become of the criticism from earlier in the week. Now there's no doubt. Onward bound!

GO CAVS.

WAR SASHA STARTING.

No, the problem is that when we hit 6 losses in a row, everybody thought the world was ending. Everyone and their mothers started to criticize LeBron big time. Everyone expects him to be Mr. Jordan at 21. CHILL!.......

It is one thing to talk about his D. It is another thing to be pissed at him and create a sig dedicated to LeBron choking. (LePip)

the great thing about last night is it puts an end to that utter nonsense that we can't win if LeBron scores 50. It seems to me that nonsense like that makes LeBron shy away from scoring big points on nights when he's on fire. I'm still waiting for the night when he's really on fire and our outside shooters are knocking down their shots too. Imagine, a triple double where the player scores 50 points.

Nobody on here expects him to be Jordan already, but when you miss free throws and don't play D, you are gonna get backlash.

Outside of that, I think we all know what we have here. Lebron is a special player and hopefully he can put it all together because if he does, he can be the best player ever. Its up to him though, so far it doesnt look like he has put much effort into putting it all together.

people talk crap about his def, but he is always getting steals and blocks, lebron will not let u pass and he makes u shoot over him which is where lebron needs to learn to put his hands up...

It is easy to play the passing lanes, but he gives about zero effort to man to man defense.

But he gives so much in other areas, it's hard to fault him for that, esp since he never HAD to play defense until now. But all I ask for is effort, it's not like he is guarding the other teams star SG, he plays the weakest of the 1-2-3.

good post glen.

i am and will continue to bash lebron if he continues to miss free throws, however last night he was 9-11 which is high 80%. i dont expect him to shoot 90% for a season and i sure dont expect around 60%. he should never shoot bad from the line. period.

on the other hand if you settle for medocrity, saying hes only 21 so therefore he can miss free throws, than the cavs will never win.

He hasn't put much effort into putting it together? Lebron is much much better player then his rookie year. Anyone who see him shoot now has to realize he has put a lot of work into that aspect of his game. I guess some just want him to improve every single aspect by leaps and bounds (which his jumper has done) to be satisfied. His defense is much better: he's not a great defender but i would call him average at this point which is a big improvement (decent D on guys like Prince, AK-47, and even Kobe this year)

Im not talking about his offense, he scored at will as a rookie.

But one thing that is consistant from his rookie year til now, you can score at will on Lebron. All day, every day.

He has put zero effort into improving his defense. His footwork is exactly the same, he has no lateral movement, he has no heart when it comes to defense, he doesnt hustle back on fast breaks, and he gets lazy and would rather play the passing lane for the big steal, often setting himself up for bad positioning off screens.

Im not concerned about his offense.

And not even Kobe, Kobe had a field day against the Cavs in the second half and Lebron wasnt defending him in the first half. So throw that one out the window. Prince isnt looked upon as a major contributer on offense, so that one is debatable. AK 47 had a good game last night, so ?

Lebron has gotten better at using his body on defense, but that's about it on that side of the ball.

Amen Lord Infante.......we are damn lucky.......

To watch 'The King' play every game as a Cavalier, while he frequently sells out arenas on the road, where some fans only get a look at him once a season.......

Statistically, we only had a 22% chance of landing 'The Chosen One' in the 2003 Draft Lottery. Support LeBron always, through his highs and lows, and be thankful. The best part is hes barely 21, and likes playing in C-Town!!!!!!!!
