300 yards and 2 TDs = load the box.Or helping out the run game with a consistent pass game to avoid the loaded box.

Many running backs have experienced consistent success with quarterbacking much worse than Hoyer. This argument sucks, frankly.Or helping out the run game with a consistent pass game to avoid the loaded box.

Heck, the Browns have pumped out multiple 1,000 yard rushers in the past with quartebacks like McCoy, Derek Anderson, and Dilfer/Frye.
Look, I try to be as impartial as I can. Does he make bad throws? Some head scratchers? Sure. What consistent success?
I'm not blaming Hoyer, the main problem is obviously the loss of Alex Mack on the interior offensive line. But what that's done is allowed teams to force Hoyer to beat them, a prospect which probably isn't going to bode well for this team in the long run.
He was not very impressive today. that can't really be argued. Though I'm sure you'll try.
I'll take the W and hope it's better on a short week against a better team.
Oh, I agree, I was trying to imply he's had no run support over the last 3 weeks. He hasn't won 5-of-8 without any run support, but yes I would say he's average or a little below.
He'll need to be better than that.
I've maintained that Hoyer has about 3-4 passes he would like back every game, but the bigger issue is his lack of weapons and now the utter inability of the line to control pressure up the middle. Jacksonville exposed it, now everyone knows it. That just about covers it, hopefully Gordon and Cameron change that.

We could win the Super Bowl and people would still complain.
While I agree, I also like to point out we are 5-3 with Cameron missing multiple of games, Gordon out the whole season to this point and Mack being out the last 3 games. We got lucky in that our schedule was weak just at the time we needed it because of injurys. But I have a hard time not liking this team with a healthy Gordon and Cameron on offense.I'm glad we won and I'm glad we're 5-3, but these last two wins, and these last three games in general, have been really unsatisfying. It's like our 10-6 Derek Anderson season, we went 10-6 but anyone who knew football knew that was a fluke or at least had an uneasy feeling about it.
We're having that same uneasy feeling now, and while we are more talented than we were that season, the feeling is warranted.
