I will be so sad when I get banned from this thread! Won’t know what to do with myself. I’m not trolling, just keeping it real. Irvin’s knee is structurally sound, and he will great for the next 7-8 years. I absolutely loved what I saw from him this year. The funny part is the nets and the lakers pick could be right next to each other at 9 and 10, giving each almost the same odds of a top 3 pick. Ofcourse neither probable will, but that just means celtics will get the kings pick next year. Hope you all enjoy watching the kings give the Celts a top 3 pick next year. I won’t bother you guys anymore. I can tell when I’m not wanted. Enjoy the next 10 years of Lebronless mediocre basketball.

I forgot one last thing.... Kyrie loves it in Boston and isn’t going anywhere. Great coach, great fans, tradition, great young players, great draft picks coming up, could trade for Anthony Davis, or Leonard. Why would anyone not want to be a part of that? Everyone wants to be in Boston right now.

Kyrie's knee is jello. He'll be done by age 30.

Hayward's injury doesn't have a guranteed 100% recovery rate.

Two players coming off major surgery + 32 year old Al Horford is 75% of your cap.

Philly will decimate Boston for the East crowns as soon as LeBron & the Cavs are done. Enjoy.

Lol the Celtics medical staff that ended ITs career is gonna prolong Kyries when he gets injured every year in the playoffs, Right... You know who else gets injured every year that fits Kyries profile? CP3. Good luck with that lol the next few years are gonna suck for you to flame out in the 2nd round or ECF the next few years lolol. Kyrie legit always gets injured hahahaha oh man the next few years are gonna be funny. What Celtics board do you post on by the way?

Before you go....were you actually born in 1975? So you're a 43 year old man doing this?

How's life going for you?

Not calling you out in particular, but I've yet to hear a convincing argument for why we should trade the pick for that kind of player. We've been a top-5 offense and a bottom-5 defense pretty much all year. How could we possibly become better by adding another volume scorer?
Stars win titles. He is 28, and leading a team to the best record in his conference. Love is better than Lowry, and LeBron is LeBron. Also they have three PG's on their team, so coils be a way to shore up the point, since we can all agree Jose is not a long term solution, and Hill is okay at best.

If we could make a move for a defensive anchor, keep LeBron, and add Derozan, and a decent PG with room to grow that is a solid off season.

I think the most likely scenario if we don't trade this pick is LeBron leaving, unless we win the lottery, or win the title, but I repeat myself.

I don't want to turn this into Trade Love thread again.

But say we get a scorer like a Beal or CJ, won't it reduce Love's role in the offense?

Which brings me to my next point. Wouldn't we be better off trading both Love and the Nets pick for a scorer like Beal or CJ and a big wing who can guard the opposition wings?

I think it was @gourimoko who discussed about this trade some months ago.

It involved sending the Nets Pick + Love + JR etc to Wizards for Beal + Otto Porter.

Yep...

I really do not see the Wizards keeping both Beal and Wall; these guys clearly do not like one another.. I also think they want to mitigate the massive salary impact of Wall, Beal, Porter once Wall's DPE kicks in... That's why trading Beal and Porter makes a great deal of sense.

For the Cavs, we could take either Beal OR Wall off their hands... But I would prefer Beal, to be honest.

No Giannis for the Bucks against the Knicks...Knicks win ensures we get a coin flip for 8th at worst.

I'm not a fan of trading for Porter really at all. His contract is large and he's simply not worth it.

Beal makes sense, he fits well, and I'd try to do it for the pick and filler and maybe Osman.

Now I'm ok with trying to move Love after that for a better fit. I like the idea, in the above scenario, to turn around and flip Love for Walker, filling a hole and then moving Nance into his natural spot in the starting unit. And instead of taking on a guy like Porter with tons of money left on his deal, you swap out Love's one year remaining for Walker's. So if it doesn't work out and LeBron leaves, you can move on and let Walker go too instead of being tied down to him.

Beal's contract is literally like 1% smaller than Porter's...

Well I think Beal is a far superior player. Porter is an advanced stat superstar but a role player in reality. A guy I can see struggling A LOT late in the playoffs the slower the game gets and better defenses get.

Don't you think we would need a wing more than another scoring guard/ball-handler?
