Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

Wasn’t there a “99%” chance this would be in the top 8?

Not sure where that would have come from.

I remember making numerous posts saying to watch out for the Knicks in this tank race. Lo and behold, here we are. One Nets win away from finishing tied or ahead of the Knicks.

Why hate the Nets? Hate the NBA for allowing nine teams to blatantly tank.
Why? Meh. Tanking is unavoidable.

This pick will be whatever it will be. The angst over this thing is just laughable at this point.

Pick is 9th now?!
Thing is if Lin had not gotten hurt in the opener, they probably would have been a 30-34 win team, so I guess there is that to think about. They were def better then most us expected. Lets be honest majority of us were thinking top 3-5 pick when this trade went down. Yes other teams were tanking, but the Nets lost a ton of close games too, and had a roster full of three point shooters in the modern NBA, a good young head coach and actually played hard most nights. At this point 8th would be the best of a bad situation. Lets hope Boston wants to win in the last game.

Anyone who wouldn’t trade this pick for Kemba Walker really has a gambling problem and has to learn when to cut their losses

Don't know if Lebron is staying, Kemba signed for one more year. If Lebron leaves you might as well draft the best young player at 9.
Hell draft Trae Young and hope you hit the lottery. There won't be much to get excited about if Lebron leaves.

unless i missed something the issue wasnt that the cavs werent willing to trade this pick for Kemba, the issue was the hornets wanted the pick, plus the cavs to take ALL of their bad contracts for kemba.

the hornets can have one or the other, they cant have both

I thought it was the Cavs were unwilling to part with the Brooklyn pick for Kemba

@InBoobieWeTrust can you help us out here?

Also this is conditional on LeBron staying, obviously

It would be pretty painful to trade the pick for Kemba this offseason, knowing we could've done so at the deadline and had him for this playoff run. Probably not worth it considering he's going to get massively overpaid in a year.
