I'd abandon this discussion, except there are enough people who have negative opinions of Christians in general that I do not want to leave you hear as the sole representative of the faith. Those of us who are Christians and are responding to you are doing so to demonstrate that you can be a person of faith, and also be a rational being.

I would add that Jesus himself was jewish, and referred to even by disciples as "rabbi". So before you start jew-bashing, you might want to consider that.

I think enough of us here are mature enough to understand that people have different beliefs based off of what they've been told in the past, what's stuck from that and life's experiences.
