Looking at the Wolves roster it looks like they can really use West. I dont really know what Mike Millers availability would be since they just traded for him, but i dont think they have a chance to win anytime soon so why hang on to him. A deal i was thinking about was West at 5m per(about 2.5m byc) and Pavs (4.5m) for Mike Miller (9m).

Portland was a team mentioned who have been searching for a starting pg. Maybe Steve Blake (4.5m) and Martell Webster (3.7m) for West 5m per(2.5 byc) and Pavs (4.5m).

Thats all i got for now but i think both should work under the byc, not sure if the teams would do these deals though. If anyone else has any other possibilities, please feel free to post them.

I doubt Minnesota would be willing to give up Miller, but a swap of Mike M for Sasha and West would be excellent for both teams (imho).
We would get an above average (or at least average) starting SG who can, to a certain extent, create his own shot, hit the three pointer consistently, and rebound well. Also, he is relatively tall (6-8) and would do a good job of making our backcourt more balanced when it comes to defending the taller backcourts of the league.
Minnesota would do the deal for the very reason you claimed in the post above, they are not going anywhere right now and shipping out a slightly above-average player for 2 younger, average skilled players would not be an illogical move because the prime of their careers should correspond much more closely with the prime of Jefferson and Love (the prime of the team) than mike miller's would.

If the "balded one" did make a move to attain Miller, it would free us up to go after a big with Wally's and AV's contract at the dead line. these moves would leave us a tad short behind LBJ though...

Post Deadline lineup
Mo/Boobie
Miller/Kinsey
LBJ/Miller
Deadline Big/Hickson
Z/Big Ben

any s&t would most likely require a second team since west would be considered a bye player, meaning his salary only counts for half making matching up salaries dificult. One way around this is find a team under the cap, not likely but possible. And I love M Miller, but usually in a s&t you get less value for your departing player not more value.

I think Mike Miller becomes a realistic get, come the deadline. Right now I don't think they move Miller. I expect plenty of Mike Miller rumors come the deadline. Miller would be a good fit here.

I would love a west for webster deal. we would have our backcourt of the future with mo and webster and off the bench you would have gibson and wally or kinsey. I'd do that deal in a heart beat. imo webster is a young glen rice.
But at the same time i really like delonte and would hate to see him leave>

Mike Miller would be nice but I have a feeling the T-Wolves are falling in love with him. JMO

I'm always down for a Mike Miller swap.

Yeah I dont see Minny dealing Miller. West is a freak, we shouldnt be talking about S&Ts unless Ferry/Fegan say no deal is happening.

i like the first trade dealing with miller....we may have to throw a pick in there but whatever...with that trade it leaves us with wally & av expirings.

You can't jsut throw in picks it takes away from the building of the team. Would you have wanted to trade the first pick in the NBA draft of 03 for mike miller?? Anything can happen LBJ can go down and this team would become a lottery team.

That being said if it were a second round pick i would be a little more interested, but if they wanted our first I would hang up the phone and say have a nice day.

I don't think Ferry is in the practice of throwing in picks like Mr. Paxson was. That man gave our picks away like they were candy (1st for Jiri Welsch? WTF?).

I think Ferry loves the draft and would rather trade players for picks than the other way around.

Im getting back into Cavs mode now that its September, and I have to tell you...

Im taking notes on who's being naughty (talking about Delonte S&T)

And who's being nice (talking about Delonte as starting sg or 6th man of year for the Cavs:D)

I think we S&T D-West for Delonte West. Both are BYC players, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make an even swap.

I am actually happy he stays, glad we got it over with and he will most likely be in that 6th man role.....
