After Wambganss retired, he had a small manufacturing company in Cleveland. 1950 was its 25th anniversary, and the 30th anniversary of the 1920 Series.
Wambganss had made a scrapbook during the World Series, and had copies of it made to handout to his customers.
My grandfather ran a lithography company that provided Wambganss' company with advertising materials. He and Wambganss had mutual business acquaintances, and when it became evident that his grandson was a big Indians fan, he somehow tracked one of those scrapbooks down. Then he stuck it in the attic, awaiting the time I would be old enough to appreciate it....and promptly forgot about it.
Grandpa died in 1980, and as my Dad was going thru the junk in his attic, he came across that scrapbook, boxed and wrapped, waiting for a little boy to grow up.
I was 29 when I finally got my present...a scrapbook from the only player to ever have an unassisted triple play in a World Series.
