Whatsup fellas, i think I have recovered from my horrible outting out in Oakland where we were embarassed by the warriors. So yep tyguy is back and was wondering.... What happens when larry gets back.

Its no secret that Sasha has put the stamp of approval in all of us includding coach brown. However when Larry gets back how do u see the roster minutes being handled and how do u think Sasha does in a reduced role.

I really like the idea of running a team with Larry, Sasha and Bron on the court at times. As some might have noticed, I have never been someone that gets attatched to the "young talent" and refuse to part ways with players. However, I think we have something with Sasha here. Its not every day u have someone with his size, athletic ability and can shoot the rock. Sure he is rough around the edges but this guy is barely older than me at 22 and i think just blends in perfectly. I dont know if anybody would agree with me but id trade av before pavs at this point.

As I stated in the "Start Sasha" thread, I see Sasha getting significant minutes coming off the bench when Larry gets back. I see him as a back-up for both LeBron and Larry at times.

His play of late has been more than we could ask. He has a tremendous ceiling and will only improve as his confidence grows.

I also stated that I think we will see Sasha, LeBron and Larry together on the court, especially at the end of games. That is a potent scoring backcourt (consider the 3 position backcourt right now) trio right there. While Hughes' injury was tough on this team, Sasha's emergence will only make us stronger when Larry gets back. The inspired play of Andy yesterday has me excited as we will be a SOLID 9 deep when Larry gets back, as Ira will get sporadic minutes and Luke will be relegated to the end of the bench.

This is a nice 9-man rotation, which makes us one of the deepest teams in the league:

Snow/Jones
Hughes/Sasha
LeBron/(Sasha/Hughes)/Ira(for a few minutes a game)
Gooden/Marshall
Z/Varejao

I see us really pulling away and having that 4th seed locked up by late March and a date with Detroit in the second round in May.

Ira and Varejao just like Henderson and Wilks are situational. If Gooden, Z and Marshall are holding down a game, Andy and Henderson won't see time.

I see AV playing more than Henderson, but the biggest impact of having AV will be reduced minutes for Z when we don't need him (= better knees in the post season). If we see AV in 5 games being active and healthy, I see us trying to package players for a more appropriate point and and true center. If AV can be consistant, we have a lot of possible combinations to trade out without damage. I still think we need to take a step up to go deeper into the playoffs and to win on the road. We also need a future answer for the point with the right size and speed combination.

I think that what we are going to see when Larry gets back is reduced minutes for LeBron...he has always talked about it but now with Larry gone it is just like last year....with Sasha playing well and Larry back healthy look for leBron playing 36-38 minutes every game....also the future answer to pg could be found in Minny with the name of Marcus Banks

If we can LeBron's minutes down to 40 minutes per game (LeBron will likely not accept any less) and Hughes to around 35 minutes max, there are around 20 minutes for Sasha. Marshall, Ilgauskas and Drew all around 30 minutes leaves Varejao 5-10 minutes, although I'd like to see Donyell's limited slightly. Damon should be restricted to point guard minutes only, so he and Snow should share the allocated 48 minutes. Ira may see some occasional minutes, Henderson in foul troubled games, with Wilks and Jackson to see garbage minutes only.

20 min is too much for Sasha.

I don't know, he handled the last 39 pretty well.

Sasha Pavlovic gives us a shooter, who can also penetrate, who doesn't demand the ball, plays physical defense. I dont mind that for 20 minutes a night.
