not the clippers (get beat badly, a lot), not the mavericks (havent looked legit all year), not the thunder (..frankly we just always beat them).

everyone else.

incredible to see 12 or so teams in the nba with legit shots at winning the whole thing

The Spurs scare me to death. Despite them playing their worst basketball in, well...., ever, they are still the favorites to me. I can't bet against Pop and the Spurs.
Spurs can be a problem even as 8 seed. I don't really care for their regular season performance. They are old. They won't get up for regular season games this year. You never know with them what their regular season approach will be, but the way they go about their business in this post-title campaign just make me think they will be the snakes they are and bite someone. I can see the Warriors/Memphis losing 1st round to Spurs before I see the Spurs lose first round to anyone, no matter who that one is and no matter how bad SA appears to be. They always do it. Phoenix has home court they come in and win first two games. game seven in NOLA Ginobili doesn't give a shit.Always same story with these guys. And let's face it, Lebron benefitted from perhaps law of averages working in his and Heat's favor as after being close to perfect in their first 3 finals appearances Spurs made errors for 1st times in Finals when the chip was on line.im a Lebron fan but truth be told Spurs left the 2013 title on table.

Memphis, Dallas, and Spurs.

Spurs don't have enough left in the tank to make it, unless everybody regains health at the right time.

Dallas has a great coach, shooters everywhere, and Tyson Chandler. Tough for us to defend.

Memphis is obvious.

Golden State only scares me when they're at home. But they can't defend well enough.

Golden State -> San Antonio -> Memphis -> Houston -> OKC -> Portland.

Golden State is the number 1 defensive rated team in the NBA. They are 17th in opponents points per game because of the pace they play at which is the highest in the League. How well do they need to defend.
They are very stout at home and more than capable of taking one on the road based on their offense alone.

Rebounding, Foul trouble and shooting would be more likely the contributing factors to Golden states playoff demise than Defense.

While I do not think the Spurs will make it to the Finals, if they do, that means they have pulled it all together and taken out 3 other strong teams in the West. If that happens, they will be a big problem.

You need a balanced attack in the playoffs, you cannot just shoot your way to a title.

GS will get cold at some point. And they lack the inside toughness to compensate.

The Griz and Spurs are the only real option.

I say Portland just because they always play us so well and Aldridge is so good...

You're sleeping on Memphis. They win ugly but they're ruthless and battle tested. Perfectly built for the playoffs, and they know what they're doing when they get there.

Portland is definitely a darkhorse now that they've addressed their bench with the Afflalo trade. Deep and talented.

I've written off the Spurs before and it's always been a mistake. I wont believe they're done until someone cuts their head off.

With all the injuries to OKC, they could easily finish in the 8 spot, and I'm rooting for that to happen. Golden State/OKC might be the most entertaining first round series ever (assuming OKC has everyone healthy by then).

I'm glad we're in the East...

I think Memphis would give us problems, I just don't see them coming out of the West personally.

Not fearing the Thunder like some are. I am thinking about front lines though when it comes to beating us.

Houston could be interesting if they get out of the West (again don't see it).

I can see Portland coming out, and I don't think we'd have anyone stopping Aldridge going nuts on us in that series.

Winning in Portland is really tough too.

Don't even care who comes out of the West. Just want this team to make it through the East...
